Honda QA 50
Just a reminder, the pawl shaft spring and washer must be removed to get the main gear off. Above is the old main shaft washer and the two new replacement ones. (07-31-07)
Now to replace the clutch disks, side the clutch off the shaft and flip over. Press down the clutch plate and remove the big c-clip holding everything in place. Lift out the center section with the clutch disks and plates. Notice the rollers, they are not secured with anything so watch out when you turn over the clutch housing. There should be eight.(07-31-07)
Flip over the clutch housing, remove the damping spring (yellow arrows) and unscrew the four screws holding the clutch plates together. They are under pressure from the springs so loosen in a criss-cross pattern. Lift the clutch housing off of the springs. (07-31-07)
