Honda QA 50
The new and old clutch springs, I guess it is going to shift harder now. Reassemble everything is reverse order, be sure to oil the new clutch disks and plates to prevent locking up the tranny at the first start up. (07-31-07)
Use a new gasket and reassemble everything. While the engine was apart I cleaned, primed, and painted the right crank case cover. The plasti -kote silver wheel paint from wal-mart is a very close match to factory. I have ordered new engine screws so hopefully they show up sometime soon. (07-31-07)
After much debate about the color scheme and pleading from Honda guys everywhere, I have decided to put the bike back original Sprout Green. I found a set of OEM fenders and sent the tank to be painted the matching color. The wheels got a coat of epoxy white. (08-13-07)
The frame was stripped to bare metal, which was easy since the last owner painted over the oily stuck-on dirt layer. The brake hubs and fork ends were sanded using a varnish removing wheel for a drill and polished with aluminum compound. I gave them a coat of epoxy clear coat to prevent tarnishing. (08-27-07)
Next, putting everything back together.
