Spike Brewer
My life as a kit
had a tragic beginning but from that I became the beautiful, assertive
kitty you see today.
My siblings and I were born in a drainpipe at an abandoned school.
My kitty Mother went to hunt and
never came back. By a miracle a hoomin found me still barely alive.
I was the only one of my littermates
to be rescued in time. I was taken from milk mother to milk mother
and no one wanted to feed me. I
was mostly bottled fed. I learned to be a fighter at an early
age, hence the name Spike.
When I was six weeks
old Meowmie found me. It was understood that I was Farfurs
kitty. Meowmie
fed me and played with me but if I wanted to petted or loved that
came from Farfur. Farfur is not
healthy and has developed an allergy to me. I now sleep with Meowmie
and she gives me lots of love.
Farfurs lap is mine for awhile efurry evening.
Sealy is my best
friend in the whole world. She is a beautiful Schipperke female
d*g. I also have Spatz,
the boy dog. Hes okay as d*gs go but Sealy and I grew up
together. Sealy and I are both 12 years old.
Time sure flies. Sasha is my older sisfur. She is an opinionated
18 year old Seal-point Siamese that voices
her opinion at the tops of her lungs, generally in the middle
of the night. My little sisfur is Sammy. She
steals a lot of my attention, computer time and tries to steal
my food. She was a brat from the day she
walked into my house.
Food is my number
one hobby. Check out my hobby page on Spike Rules and you will
see me eating
shrimp. Yum. As a family we joined CLAW in 1997. I didnt
have time for such foolishness. When we
moved to Arkansas from New Mexico all the CLAW stuff stopped.
I was so glad not to attend those
classes. This year however my priorities have changed. I joined
"Cats Who Live With D*gs" and have
had a ball with Sealy doing all kinds of fun things. IN August
I received my BCC from CLAW U and I
became a CLAW Damsel much to my surprise. I joined the Older Cats
Society and agreed to become
an assistant along with Sasha and Sammy. Sammy is in the Junior
Support Group. I have joined TCMC
and the "Paws for Animal Welfare Society" and the "Fat
Cats Have Fun" group. Time to get involved.
For rest and relaxation Sasha and I have applied for separate
apartments in the Catuary Senior Catizens
Complex.
The only problem
I have is arthritis in one paw. I dont chase birds anymore,
not so much my age, but I
got beat up by a pair of nasty pigeons. The house is much safer.
The parrot stays in his cage. In my
youth I could catch hummers in mid air. I learned real quick to
eat them in the shrubs. Otherwise
Meowmie would take them to a bird rescue center. Now I eat and
sleep and do my kitty thing with all
my different kitty groups. Oh, and I try to keep Sammy under control
of course. I rule by family with a
firm, but gentle paw.
