Mewsette

Mew, all you wonderfur older kitties! I am so furry honored to be chosen for the Senior Spotlight this
month!

My name is Misty Mewsette Chantoo, but I go by Mewsette. I will be 14 years old on April 4th, so I haf
already had a furry long life. I intend to haf lots more of it, too! My meowmie takes extra special care of
me so that I will.

You can see from my picture that I am a longhaired calico, and I haf green eyes. I was born under the
house, and Meowmie had to crawl under and dig me out of the flooring, along with my sisfur and two
brofurs, to take us and our mother, BamBam, inside. Meowmie says I fell into her hands and she knew
right away I would be furry special to her. My little sisfur and brofurs all crossed the rainbow bridge
many years ago, but I haf been the heart of our home all this time. My mother is still with us, and my, is
she old! I also haf another sisfur, no relation, named Phelicity. She is only 7. When she first came to live
with us, my heart was really broken. I cried fur months and Meowmie had to give me lots of extra
attention. See how that worked out? I can tie my Meowmie around my little paw any time I want to.
She believes that I am Queen of the Universe.

But I got used to Phelicity, and now we play together and get along furry well. As long as she gives me
proper respect, of course. I really like other cats much more than humans, and I haf had a few good
friends among other cats over the years. One was a special wink-wink kind of friendship with a solid
white gentleman cat who lived on the other side of our fence. We called him the White Knight.

I don't play as much as I used to, because I get out of breath sometimes (as Meowmie says, "we are no
kitten any more!"), but I still love my little furry mousies, my favorite toys. I hide them under the
furniture and in the closet, and tell Meowmie that I can't find any and she must buy me some new ones.
Then she does. Purrty smart, huh?

I used to be allowed outside when I was young, but I sure got into trouble sometimes. Not that I wasn't
purrfectly behaved then, as now, but there are many bad things outside fur kitties. We lived in the
country so I didn't see many cars, but I sure saw a lot of d*gs. And I was lost in the woods fur two weeks
once. I almost died, but Meowmie and I found each other just in time! That was a long time ago and I
haf not been outside since, but when the door is open and the cool breeze is blowing in the screen, I love
to stick my face into it and feel the wind. I haf a sunny windowsill of my own, the other cats in the house
know it is mine! I haf my furry own pillow too, and I do mean furry!

I joined Claw over a year ago, along with BamBam and Phelicity, and it has been so much fun! I haf
been a memfur of the Older Cats Society since last summer. I really like it a lot, because I do love to
talk and mew about many things, especially with kitties I haf something in common with, like being older
and better! I love the monthly projects that give us something new to mew about. I haf lots of good
opinions on efurything, so I like to make speeches. I write poems too, and I sing a lot. I'm a purrty good
singer. I am modest too.

But the best thing I haf done lately is go to Claw University, where I haf now completed my studies for
my BCC Degree and my Master of Fine Arts Degree. I will be graduating next month! Purrty good for a
kitty as old as I! You know what? When we say older is better, it is true. And how furry good we are in
the ways of being Cat when we are older! I think we are all wonderfur!

Thank mew furry much fur this lovely honor. It is so special to me and I am so happy! Purrs, Mewsette
~^..^~
