January 2001

Greetings, Jasper Kitty here. I turned 16 years wise in November of the year
2000. It is hard furr me to believe I am that old, as I still feel like a
kitten much of the time. Mewmie adopted me furrom a pet store just befurr
Kissmousie 1984. She put me in a cardboard carrier and into the car, then we
were off to her house. I was soo tiny, I managed to squeeze out of the
carrier. What a sight...Mewmie driving on the busy freeway with a tiny black
kitten jumping all ofurr the car...I rememfurr at one point I actually was on
her head as she was driving, holding on to her hair..heehee. Well, I was
much loved and had Mewmie and her house all to myself furr 9 years. Then one
day Mewmie comes home with a little squalling orange kitten and says "ohhh
and Jasper, I think mew need a little brofurr. This is Jesse, he has no
Mewmie and no where to go.." Well, I was not happy at all at first!!! The
thought of sharing my food, my Mewmie, my toys!!!! Ohhh well, mew can just
imagine...but then this little orange thing wobbled up to me and kissed me on
the nose!!! Oh...I thought this was rather cute, so I figured I should
purrlay with the little guy. I picked him up, like I do with all of my toys,
and tossed him into the air. Little Jesse was not impurressed, neither was
Mewmie. Jesse is 7 years wise now, we have a special bond, but I don't think
he efurr furrgave me. Four years after Jesse arrived, Mewmie came home from
work and said "Ohhh boys, I think mew need a little sisfurr...this is
Swizzle, she has no one to love her and no where to go...". Well, I was not
thrilled about this at all...I had just gotten used to Jesse. Swizzle was
not furry tiny, she was already 4 months old...quite big furr her age.
Needless to say, I did not pick her up and toss her about. She is a sweet
girl, we cuddle often and I listen to her tales of parties and wink winks.
Less than a year later...here Mewmie comes again with a tiny multicolored
little thing and says..."Ohhh, now this is Marble Cakez, he is hungry and
lost and has no one to love him...". OK, by now I am getting used to this
kitty rescue thing...I purrlayed with lil Marble, picked him up once and
nefurr heard such hissing and spitting in my life!!! Marble is a good little
boy, 2 years young now...I do enjoy purrlaying with him. Six months later,
here Mewmie comes again...she had a tiny tiny little black kitten in a box
and was crying...she said..."Ohhh nooo, this is Baby Hope and she is soo tiny
and we have to save her..." Well, after huffing about I noticed this tiny
little girl did not mew, she did not purrlay, she was soo young her eyes were
closed tight. I sat by her cage night and day watching ofurr this precious
little one. Mewmie bottle fed her efurry 3 hours. Days went by, and she
finally opened her eyes and mewed to us. Baby Hope is my special little
girl, she cuddles and sleeps with me efurry night. She mews to me about
parties and wink winks. I am quite content now, I have a Mewmie who calls me
"Best Furriend" and 4 little brofurrs and sisfurrs who love me, as I love
them. I am furry glad not to be an only cat, and furry purroud that I was
able to raise these fine kittens. I became winked to a beautifurr kitty
named Mickey on New Year's Day 2001...who says mew efurr get too old to fall
in luff?? I have also completed my Masters In Vet Science at TCMC. What a
full and wonderfurr life I have!!! Thank mews furr reading my story and
bestowing this great honor upon me.

Respectfull Purrs, Jasper Kitty
