I was born somewhere
around Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saint Catrick's
Day, 1990 and was given to the Humane Society when I was around
9 or 10
months old because my first human family was pregnant. They were
not
good to me at all.
Then one day my (now)
Meowmie came there looking for a little kitten but
then saw all ten pounds of me (I was a really big kitten) and
it was
love at first sight, They opened the door to my cage and I jumped
right
into her arms and cried ma ma and adopted her right then and there.
We have been together
ever since. They
told Meowmie I was aggressive and did not purr but she didn't
care and
just showed me enough love to change all that and my name too.
It was
Tiger and now it's Baby, which is a nice fuzzy name. I was only
aggressive because my first family was rough with me. Meowmie
just gave
me so much love I even started purring again almost all the time.
I am an inside kitty,
although when we lived in a garden apartment I
opened the door (I am very smart) and got out twice. When I returned
a
few hours later, Meowmie was crying and when I knocked on the
door to
tell her I had returned home she was so mad at me that she gave
me a can
of tuna and a big kiss.
Two years later, Meowmie's
boyfriend at the time brought home a little
6 month old calico kitty named Spot. Meowmie changed her name
to
Caroline which is a beautiful name and she became my beautiful
wed-wink.
I love to take baths
with Meowmie; Actually, I go on the side of the tub
and splash the water or bubble bath. Meowmie loves that. Then
I kiss
Meowmie on the lips and then bite her nose.
Meowmie always plays
with me every night and then I guard her and
Caroline because I am a very capable Guard Cat.
I believe very strongly
in kindness to all living creatures (even if I
did once scare a little baby D*G by hissing at him), but I had
good
reason, he was on MY couch. I think gentleness and kindness and
love are
so important. There are no bad cats, only bad or ignorant people
who
don't show them how wonderful they are. I think we cats have a
truly
amazing bond with some humans. I also think some human are more
like
cats then some cats. Meowmie is like that.
Last summer I had a big
lumpy on my back and Meowmie was so scared. She
went on the internet and had everyone across the world listening
to her
message "Pray for Baby". It even made Yahoo!!!! The
operation was a
success and the lumpy was benign.
Meowmie introduced me
to the internet and now I have all you wonderful
kitties as my friends. I have even made good kitty friends in
Italy. You
are all so very special to me. I love you all.
Meowmie spoils me so
(well I did train her quite well, I think). I roar
in the middle of the night and she automatically gets up and sleepwalks
to feed me wet food. She also knows that I require being brushed
at
least 3 or 4 times a day so I have a really beautiful shiny black
coat
(even though I have a scar from the lumpy). I am just a little
vain.
My favorite food is chick
chick or turkey and shrimpy and salmon are
yummy too. I enjoy playing, sleeping, and turning the pages when
Meowmie
is reading a catalog or magazine. I am also very glad that since
my
operation, Caroline has stopped riding me like a horsey.
All in all though, I
love my life, my wife and my Meowmie. The Cat
Goddess Bast has been good to me and given me more than I ever
thought
possible; a wonderful family, a true love and a meowmie who loves
me
unconditionally. What else could a kitty ever want. I am such
a lucky
kitty, even though Meowmie would say that she is the lucky one.
It's
just one big mutual admiration society.
Purries,
