Welcome to The Old Climbers Tavern.  We're always open and quite easy to find.  Just head out of town on the road less traveled and turn left when it becomes dirt.  You'll know your close when the air becomes crisp and envigorating, the sky turns blue, and you'll catch a whiff of wood smoke in the pine scented air.

We're the only lodge out here. The walls are made from battered granite blocks that are topped with pine logs and covered by a steeply pitched roof of cedar shakes.  There's a little balcony off of the second floor that's sheltered under the eves of the roof.  It's not uncommon to see a guest or two standing there, especially before sunset when the alpin glow turns these mountains the color of soft rose.

Just walk right up to the door, the pine is solid, milled and planed by hand.  The door's held firmly to the frame by large strap hinges who's hammered surface tells of the iron smith's forge.  You'll have to get a good grip on the handle and squeeze your thumb down tight on the latch.  The door's never locked but the door can get stiff, especially after a long winter.  After the catch gives free with a thunk let the slow creak and groan of the hinges welcome you in.  Just kick the dirt off of your boots, or snow as the case may be, and step inside.
Please, come in!
