Benjamin T. Moore of Magill Road, Norwood, South Australia, had been a long time employee of George Hall & Sons prior to opening his own business. From (1872-73) Moore had been involved in business with his son-in-law Henry Bees, an aerated water manufacturer of Adelaide, and operated in the style of Bees & Moore. After Ben's death in 1893, his widow took over the business.
