The late
Albert (Mim)
Tuckwell's collection

Mim passed away in April 2001.
He left a legacy of great memories of enjoyable time spent together. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, to many people who miss him dearly.

Mim was a digger and passionate collector of historic old bottles. He commenced collecting mainly South Australian bottles around 1974, and together with digging partner Peter Wearne scoured the countryside in search of digs and those elusive relics.

The pair met with success in old rubbish tip sites at Burra, Jamestown and Peterborough in country South Australia, St. Peters near Adelaide, and Broken Hill in New South Wales.

His general collection, still in family control. Is among the best in the state, with examples of most known bottle patents, and a creditable gathering of hard to get potlids.

Mim was my uncle, mentor, and great friend.

Much remembered by Dave and Chris Tuckwell.
