Case gin bottles - mid 1890s to 1900
(left) A. Van Hoboken & Co, of Wynhaven, Rotterdam, Holland, made and application to the Registrar of Trade Marks in South Australia, on May 7, 1896, to use the letters AVH in respect of gin.
The JDKZ bottle was also a gin of Dutch origin. The letters stood for Johan de Kuyper en Zoon.
For export purposes to English speaking countries they changed their name to John de Kuyper and Son. |
