A delightful addition to any collection
Always a pleasure to recover are these transfer printed Brunswick Blacks.
These stoneware containers are recovered from rubbish tips dating between 1890 to 1900.
They are not particularly rare, but are eagerly sort after for their attractive appearance. They are known to exist in at least three sizes.
The same shape container exists in a plain earthenware form and are found abundantly.
Eagle Brand Brunswick Black is used to restore and protect iron work from rust. This item and many others have been recovered in South Australia. |
