Red Oak Chest (simple six board design).  Dremmel tool used for carvings done by both myself and my wife.  The carvings represent aspects of Ancient Greek culture. The lion, respected amongst the Greeks and mighty opponent to Heracles; Dionysus, God of Wine; and Athena, Goddess of Civilization.  The red oak chest was stained and then finished with tung oil.  It is put togehter with square "forged" nails and some wood glue for good measure.  The top is secured with leather strap hinges (small copper nails).
This chest designed for, and presented as a gift to, Count Robin Wallace and his wife, Countess Isabeau.
The original construction of my A-frame.  It now has carved animal heads as well as some other carvings, but no images yet.
