It's a hard blow to the ego when you still feel like you're 16, but the boy who carries out your groceries calls you "ma'am" or "sir". Or even worse, when your child begins a statement with, "When I'm old...like, your age..." So here's a little page that may not make you feel better about getting older, but at least it will bring a laugh or two, and maybe a few memories!

You Know You're 22-35 If.....

1.�� You learned to swim about the same time Jaws came out and still carry the emotional scars to this day.

2.�� You could sing "99 Red Balloons" in English and German.

3.�� You're starting to believe that maybe having kids go to school all year-round wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

4.�� You did the LeFreak with Chic.

5.�� "All-skate, change directions" means something to you.

6.�� In high school you and all your friends discussed elaborate plans to get together again at the end of the century and play "1999" by Prince over and over again.

7.�� You wore anything Izod, especially collar up, or the windbreakers that folded up into a pouch you could wear around your waist.

8.�� You owned a Jordache anything, or you remember when Jordache jeans were really cool.

9.�� You ever dressed to emulate a person you saw in either a Duran Duran, Madonna, Rick Springfield or Cyndi Lauper video.

You Grew Up In The 80's If.....

4. You know who Mr. T is.

5. You know who Fat Albert is.

6. You wore fluorescent, neon clothing.

7. You could breakdance, or wished you could.

You Know You Were A Little Girl in the 70's (or 80's) if...

1. You wore that rainbow shirt that was half-sleeves and the rainbow went up one sleeve, across your chest and down the other.

2. You made baby chocolate cakes in your Holly Hobby Easy Bake Oven. You washed them down with The Snoopy Snow Cone Machine.

3. You had that Fisher Price Doctor's kit with a stethoscope that actually worked. After training with these tools you became an expert at the game of Operation.

4. You owned a Schwinn bicycle with a floral banana seat and a basket. In the early 80's you moved onto the ever popular 10 speed. Gosh that seat hurt.

5. Your roller skates had metal wheels...and maybe even a key.

6. Admit it...you thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute.

7. You had either a "bowl cut" or a "pixie" (not to mention the "Dorothy Hamill") because your mom was sick of braiding your hair.

8. Your Holly Hobby sleeping bag was your most prized possession.

9. You wore a poncho with your faux fur muff and toe socks with your clogs.

10. You begged Santa for the new electronic game Simon.

11. You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple shredded outfits.

16. You tried to make sure that no boys would grab the comb out of your back pocket and skate away.

17. Your hairstyle was described as having wings.

18. You vividly remember Strawberry Shortcake and her friends Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie.

20. You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazard was your boyfriend, or who would get to be Kris or Kelly and who got stuck being Sabrina.

32. You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes.

33. You had shoelaces with heart or rainbow designs.

Signs You Live In A Small Town...

1. The welcome sign and leaving sign are on the same post.

2. Your mailman doesn't have to leave home to deliver the mail.

3. You get teary-eyed when you hear the tune "Small Town" by John Cougar Mellencamp.

4. You get online to read "Kim's Chuckle-A-Day" and everyone comes over to read it with you.

5. The mayor runs the city out of his house.

6. You sneeze and get a "Gesundheit" from half the population.

7. The town dog pound and jail are the same.

8. If a piece of your mail is addressed with only your name and city you'll still get it.

9. The elementary school crossing guard is also the Sheriff.

10. The town picnic only needed two packs of hotdogs, two packs of buns, one bag of chips, and two six packs of soda to feed all the residents.

11. The local paper comes out monthly, and is only one page.

12. Two people in line at the grocery store is considered a rush, and three cars at an intersection is a traffic jam.

13. Your phone number has two digits.

14. The cop stops you only to tell you that your wife wanted you to pick up some milk on the way home.

15. You can name everyone you graduated with.

16. You know what 4-H is.

17. You ever went to "headlight parties".

18. You used to drag "main".

19. You said the 'f' word and your parents knew within the hour.

20. You schedule parties around the schedule of different police officers, since you know which ones will bust you and which ones won't.

21. You ever went cow-tipping.

22. You have parties at the same guy's house.

23. School gets cancelled for state sporting events.

24. You could never buy cigarettes because all the store clerks knew how old you were.

25. When you did find someone old enough and brave enough to buy smokes, you still had to go out and drive on back roads to smoke them so your parents wouldn't find out.

26. Social acceptance in town depended on the approval of the five old (but rich) hags that met each morning at the donut shop for the latest smut.

27. You were ever in the Homecoming parade.

28. You have ever gone home for Homecoming after graduating.

29. You fix yourself up when you go buy milk lest anyone starts the rumor that you have gained weight or quit taking care of yourself.

30. Friday night's fun consisted of standing in line for the one screen theater, and since it was sold out, watching truckers and drinking coffee at the truck stop (the only place open after 10:00.)

31. You have to drive an hour to buy a pair of socks.

32. It was cool to date someone from the neighboring town.

33. You have ever gone for a walk in the cemetery on a date.

34. You ordered your wardrobe out of a catalog.

35. You had senior skip day.

36. The whole senior class went to the same party after graduation.

37. You don't give directions by street names or house numbers, but by references. (turn by Homeland, go two blocks past the Andersons', and it's four houses left...)
