Brenda's Diary
After Brendas death as I was going thru papers and things I discovered a few papers where she had written a small diary of our Mission trip  and I would like to share these with you.
Day 1 : March 13, 2004
We got held up at the border from 9:30 a.m. till about 3:00 p.m. When we went thru they pulled us over and opened the back of the van then let us go on our way. (1st miracle). Tuffy said that doesnt happen often. Then they let Shannon on thru without the paper work he needed. (2nd miracle). The group ate at 7:00 and had meeting. I didnt sleep much in van the first night going down. The mountains are real pretty. Got to take lots of pictures.

Day 2 : March 14, 2004
Got dressed and had breakfast at 7..Met people from each  church that came to pick us up and tke us to the main church. They showed us around the church  and then had sunday school and church service, wasnt over till 1:30 p.m. They blessed a baby. when church was over we met other missionaires that were bringing VBS litature to the church, they were from Poteau,Ok.  They were on their way to another church further south. We then ate lunch ,very good. women always kiss and hug each other.  We lay down for a siesta. Church started at 6 p.m and end between 8:30 and 9 p.m. . I gave my testimony during the service. Afterwards had supper. The other missionaires  are still here. They will leave at 8 in the morning. They are very nice people. they had lots of nice stories about  what they do . It is raining again. The other missionaires thought Bro. Eddy And I were married. I set them straight real fast.

Day 3 : March 15, 2004
Ate breakfast, other missionaires left. We went out to witnes. Saw 19 to 20 saved this morning. I personally saw 2 saved. Was a very powerful sight. You could tell God was there. Bro. Eddy almost got attacked by a sun worshipper. Satan fighting very hard. You can really feel Gods spirit. I almost got it by several dogs. The way these people live is something else. I really realize how lucky I am to live in the U.S. We had lunch  at another church members house. There are 2 girls in this church that are going to school to be missionaires, need to try and do something to help them. Maybe we can as a womans group. Told us they have no programs here that will help them. This afternoon after lunch we rested and then went out again. 2 were saved while we were out. There were 32 saved in all. Today was  real touching. Also they welcomed us on the radio called us the ones from Oklahoma, was very touching to hear. The house we ate at tonight the ladies are seamstreses . They gave me a tour of their factory it is upstairs . She has 9 ladies working for her. Real interesting. Super nice, will bend over backwards to make us feel at home. Got back to church about 10 p.m.
