5/6/03:Ok, so I just realized that today is actually the 6th and not the 5th as I've been writing ALL day. On all the tapes. On the invoice for the hard drive and memory. On my notes. Idiot Robyn strikes again. So today wasn't too bad. I went to to work, had a few idiot people complaining, drove out to Chip Merchant and got a hard drive and some RAM for people, went to class. Anna ditched me in both morphology and L2 so definite boo to her :) So I entertained myself through the lecture on Latin cases..nominative, accusative, genative, dative, and ablative. Did you know that Latin has 5 cases for every noun? Then I entertained myself through L2 and even volunteered a couple times but promptly felt stupid and have resolved not to talk in that class again. Harrumph. French wasn't too bad, and C was just long (but when isn't it). I talked to Olivier for a minute online, he was up at like 2am talking on the phone to someone. Psycho. If someone called me at 2am I'd be like go away I'm sleeping. Ooh, Gilmore Girls. So I had to migrate to the living room to watch, haha. um what else? Oh Anne and I made cookies yesterday afternoon and yeah, now they're gone. Well the other girls are glaring at me for typing...so I'm going! later!
5/3/03: Again cursing the guy (c'mon we all know a guy had to create something this bad) who created C. Actually <pat on head> I did 99% of the program all by myself with a little theoretical prompting from Sarah. Having issues with loops though. I like BASIC loops. If blah goto line 30. The end. No weird stuff. So Mother's Day is next weekend and I guess I had better go back to O.C.! I really miss working at Disneyland (non-sequitur, I know). Kristine was saying:
kristine: mann i wish you worked at disney still
kristine: then we could go off to denny's and eat in our costumes :-D
moi: me tooooooo
moi: hahahhaha
moi: that would be so much fun!
moi: LOL
kristine: i knoooow
moi: i wanna go eat at denny's in my costume
moi: i loved wearing my rancho costume when i went to get gas
moi: (obviously en route to work)
kristine: hehehe
kristine: with all the people staring at you
moi: yah!
Anyways <sniff><wipes sentimental tear from eye> That won't happen anytime soon unless hell freezes over and suddenly I can't work at Scripps. BY the way Kristine, Scripps is not the computer networky place for UCSD, it's Scripps Institute of Oceanography, and where I am just happens to be the computer support for the Lower SIO Business offices (like you needed to know that). Alright back to the programming grind. (booo)
5/2/03: Hurray! I got excused from jury duty in O.C.! I was so worried about it because I hadn't heard back from them. So I called and they said I had been excused. Maybe the justice system really does work... :) Anyways, it's been a long week, but now it's over and I have a glorious three day weekend stretching out in front of me. Too bad for homework, otherwise it'd be perfect. Rebecca wants to go down to old town tonight for the cinqo de mayo celebrations. Should be interesting. I want a new ipod..they're so pretty....<drool> And that Apple music store is really cool. They just need to offer way more songs and I'll be happy :) Well c'est tout pour aujourd'hui..they're watchin' the matrix out the in the other room..might as well watch it again :)
4/28/03: Too lazy to move last entry to rantings page. Too bad it has to stay there. Had loads of fun working on morphology ALL day today. Ok not all day. I worked in the morning and then had a morphology section (which actually confused me more than it helped until I really sat down and looked at it again). Other than that, um nothing exciting to report for the day! hasta la byebye
4/27/03: Currently trying to solve my latest stupid mistake with C. Did you know that you can nest if/else statements INSIDE for-loops? News to me! Other than that, Stephanie and I went ice skaing last night, and oww I have a bruise on the back of my achilles' tendon where the boot part of the skate was pushing. Grr there were these annoying hockey guys who would skate really fast and stop like RIGHT in front of you and scare us to death. We were so irritated at them! I've gotten so used to not being able to use a mouse in Unix (for my C programs) that I keep forgetting I can use it to move the cursor to fix mistakes rather than have to sit here and hold down the arrow key forrrever. Anna's bday was yesterday..she turned (dum dum dum) 21! Happy bday Anna! Well, Sarah finally fixed my program (thank GOD she knows what she's doing) and now it's time to stare at some morphology. That's all for now...
Robyn's Rantings 4/25/03: Robyn very lazy about updating site...sorry. Anyways, I finally have dreamweaver. Am infinitely confused as to how to use it, but I've gathered enough to at LEAST update some stuff. I've got tons of photos on Ofoto, follow the link on my Page O' Pics. Yesterday was a reaallly long day. I worked from 8-12, had class from 12:30-6:20p, and then I was supposed to babysit from 6:45 until 11. They actually came back at 9:30, but it was still long. I was so hungry, I had lunch at 11:30 and then didn't eat again until almost 9. Maybe now that I can actually update my site in OS X I might be better about it. Maybe. Don't hold your breath. Also, check out these purty pictures (that I've taken with my camera) Rose Sunset Well I think I might do something..homework, I dunno. a+
Robyn's Rantings 2/15/03: I got my camera! :-D i've been having fun with it too, check out my Ofoto albums on the Page O' Pics! Anyways, yesterday was National Singles Awareness Day (better known to most of you as Valentine's Day). Rebecca, Stephanie, and I went to Souplantation. Pathetic, I know. The weather finally broke yesterday after pretty much three days of rain and it was gorgeous. I should have taken a picture (with my snazzy camera) but I had to go to class (man! school really gets in the way of college! Alright that's all for now.
Robyn's Rantings 2/4/03: Gave up on dreamweaver..I think my computer can't handle it. Will have to suffice with pagemill for now. muchos overloaded with schoolwork. have midterm thursday, ling assignment due friday, ling midterm assigned over weekend, midterm next weds and french essay due same day. nooot fun. i played tennis with rebecca last weekend, that was fun. i was sore for a couple of days :) i really wanna get back into dance. i'm GOING to get into dance classes next quarter. really. i swear ;) well i have a pile of french dictionaries/grammar books/conjugation guides sitting here staring at me and they're not going to put themselves away. eyes are beginning to get veeery heavy. oh, and camera--the nikon service factory can't find a new camera to replace mine with. how the @(&! can they not have a new one??? i can go down to the local ritz camera place and boom have one in like 5 minutes. how do they NOT have one???? crazy. going to call them (again) tomorrow and complain (again). time to vamos.
Robyn's Rantings 1/28/03: Contemplating
trying to install Dreamweaver so I don't have to launch classic every single
time I want to change my webpage. We shall see. PageMill is kind of ancient
now, it came with my iMac from like 97 or 98..I don't remember. Anyways, winter
quarter is upon us, already in 4th week. We went downtown to Gaslamp on Saturday
(we took the trolley, it was fun!) and there were twenty bazillion drunken Superbowl
fans there. The fireworks were great (except for the barking dog and the annoying
kid with the kazoo). On Sunday, I subbed in the intramural bowling league with
my friend Janelle (yes, UCSD has a bowling league!) It was loads of fun and
I'm STILL sore. Not used to playing 3 games in a row. But I got 3!!! strikes
in a row in the first game. El psycho presidente Bush is giving the State of
the Union right now. He's a scary, scary person. My friend Sarah's reaction
when I told her Bush wanted to bring back the draft with women included:
PunqRock: i would leave the country
PunqRock: i shit you not
oiseaurobyn: canada sounds better an better every day
PunqRock: i know
Positively insane, I tell you. Anyways, I think that's enough updating for today. Adios.
Robyn's Rantings 10/5/02: I recently had a request to change this to Robyn's Ramblings, but I think since I'm the only one who actually reads it, it doesn't matter. Anways, school has started once again. This summer, I went to Vegas and the Grand Canyon while Olivier was visiting (which was an interesting experience in and of itself. Ask me to tell you about it if you haven't already heard). Then I spent the next two months living in La Jolla by myself working. Oh sure, I had my friends Sarah and Ryan. But in case you didn't guess this already, they're together and they're only good for entertainment a couple of nights a week max. Britt just came and visited last month. We had a great time and I put some pictures of the baby up on the Pics site. Hm. Yes well. Still working, 15 hours a week now instead of 40+, and taking 16 units. My ling class is really cool, the teacher is great. Physics is awful, French is ok..better than winter quarter. Oh and I'm taking this user-friendly Shakespeare class. I get credits for watching movies! Is that not cool?? Ok well, time to go. Later.
Robyn's Rantings 6/7/02: 9:08 A.M. Star Wars rocked :-D had to see it twice. Today is the last day of classes for all UC's--rejoice and be merry--until finals that is :) We got the keys and signed the lease (obviously, if we got the keys) to our new apartment yesterday. It's so spindiffily--I have to take pictures :) Yesterday we ordered pizza and sat on the ground and were just so jazzed. Today is also my last day of work until July..yeehaw! Olivier arrives on Tuesday and no one has any idea how excited I am :) I really really really really really really miss working at Rancho. I had another dream about it last night. I hadn't had any Rancho dreams in a while. Sniff..I miss all my friends..Andrae, Jennifer, Jessica, Danny, Candice, the leads (I can't remember their names, it's been too long), the managers ('cept they're all different now) Juan the sous-chef, the three deaf fry cooks I would try to sign to, the kitchen staff, the bussers, the rest of 'em..I bet a lot has changed..I haven't been there since December. MAN! I really miss them and working there. Sure, the pay sucked and Disney's terrible about giving CTs and CRs regular hours, but oh my god we had some fun times. Doing the Rancho Dance across the floor during slow hours, ringing up people as fast as humanly possible because the lines were out the doors, making quesadillas for the chefs cause they were bored..pretending to be the bbq chef..making desserts for birthday people..carrying around bottles of milk in our aprons..using our aprons as oven mitts :)..jumping on boxes backstage to break them...taking a running start and jumping on the boxes with all our might backstage to break them (because they were evil soda boxes and you could literally stand on top of these cardboard boxes and they'd be totally fine) because disney wouldn't give us knives..sitting in the storage room making kiddie cups for hours and singing to myself...pushing one cart of trays with one hand and pulling another cart with the other hand across the restaurant during peak times...spilling silverware all over the floor (ok not a good memory :)) listening to Andrae tell her story about having to stand ankle deep in sewage water when the bathroom overflowed. I MISS RANCHO!
Robyn's Rantings 5/2/02: 9:33 P.M. Star Wars countdown has offically begun!!! Only..uh..14? days. Something like that. Beanie and Erica and Jasmine are all coming that weekend and plus it's the weekend of the "Sun God Festival." What scares me is that thre are 2 Sun Gods..one here, one in Paris! I guess it's "art." Spring quarter, la! Only 5 weeks of classes left, then one week of finals and NO MORE SCHOOL! I'm working down at Scripps Institue of Oceanography doing computer support. Great view! I get to watch the surfers all day :) It's an all-summer job too so I'm gonna be in La Jolla for the whole year...except for three weeks as soon as school ends when my friend Olivier comes to visit from France. I'm excited about that! Oh, yeah got offered the Disney internship as Operations but alas, can't go during fall. Anywho, must get going...I'm sure I have homework of some sort to do! Later!
Robyn's Rantings 3/10/02: 10:43 P.M. Whoo, it's amazing how busy college can keep you! I can't believe it's been 8 months since I wrote anything on this. Well, ok me-update. I'm at UCSD, living on campus at Muir. School is sucky...but who likes school? I'm taking French, Ling, Physics, and evil Muir writing (but it's almost over!!!!) Finals are the week after next for winter quarter. I went and visited Britt last September...and got stranded in Atlanta after 9/11. At least I was with family! Moved into school 4 days late, but who's counting? Classes hadn't started yet anyways :) First quarter was cool..esp. my ling class all about ASL. Winter break rocked..4 whole glorious weeks of brain-numbing nothing :) I really miss working at Disneyland..I quit last August. Let's see, let's see anything else? Found a great apartment for next year...reeeally cool. However, Lindsay has bought rats..and they scare the heck outta me. There's this neat-o Disney internship meeting tomorrow for DisneyWorld. I'm going to go just for the heck of it. Like I'd go to Florida in the middle of summer...do you think I'm an idiot?? I saw the trailer for Episode 2 on fox today...it looks soo spiffy!!!! Steph is going to print us up some I Luv Obi-Wan tshirts to wear on opening day. We're going to look crazy, oo yeah. Anyways, must go back to essay...8/9 pages. Think bs >:). Talk to everyone later! Good luck and good finals! :)
Robyn's Rantings 7/15/01: Good news, guys. I updated Episode 5 with approximately 10 new pages of story. That oughta keep you busy for like, what, 10 minutes? We're working on it, I promise. We've had a bit of trouble remembering what comes when in the story lines. For instance, I thought that Luke found out that Leia was his sister in Episode 5, wrote it in accordingly, then had to go back and rewrite that section. But he finds out Vader's his dad...I think...kidding!! Ok ok, yes I know that much. Episode 5 isn't turning out to be nearly as long as 4 or 1. It's only up to 40 pages and we're getting towards the end. Just for referece, both 4 and 1 were about 80. Anyways, I'm gonna go upload all this stuff now. Catchya later!
Robyn's Rantings 7/4/01: Happy Fourth of July! Weeeeee zooooowww (those were fireworks in case you couldn't tell). I'm updating my webpage, even though there's nothing to update it with. AOL has this hall of fame for the "best" websites they've found...woo boy do they every royally suck. Mine's better than some of them. Anyways, Kristine is working her way through the last Harry Potter book (she's been borrowing them from me). I'm thinking of making a web page for Rancho (that's my restaurant). Oh and I get to go visit Britt in September. Why isn't it September yet??? French people are getting their Bac results starting today (bacs are like SAT's and AP's rolled into one..and they're more important than either of those). Good luck french people in terminale :) Not that any of them read this. I think I'm the only one who's ever read any of these. Well, I gotta run. Company coming and I have to vacuum my room. Vacuum is a weird word. I wonder who invented that! Bye!
Robyn's Rantings 6/22/01: School is out! Hallelujah! Sorry I've been a little lax in updating. AP's..graduation..working...all these things get in the way! Britt and baby Eric came in March..that was fun. I'm going to visit her this September. I learned a lot of interesting stuff in my web page class, and was voted most likely to be hired in such a job. :D I've implemented some of that stuff in my new geocities page. Shout out to pagetutor.com for teaching such good stuff. Isn't coding fun? It's like learning BASIC from Lambert's class, but with more immediate results. Disneyland is going well even though they're not giving me very many hours. I'm going to tell them to schedule me somewhere else if they won't give me more hours. On a happy note, Kristini-beanie and I have recommenced writing. We only had one little hitch so far...I guess I wrote some stuff last fall and never got around to sending it to her. So we have to go back and fix that. Heh..oh well! Talk to y'all soon!
Robyn's Rantings 3/9/01: Happy New Year! Ok, well I'm a little late...three months, who cares? Brittsy and her new baby..well not so new anymore..Eric are coming in 15 days...not that I'm counting or anything! The new year has treated me well so far..for the most part... :) AP tests coming up soon! Everyone batten down the hatches and get studying! Nothing has been much going on with webpage...I haven't had the time. I am taking a web page development class at school though. It's very interesting. I haven't learned a lot yet that I don't know how to do already, but I am learning the code. Eh, its an easy A. Well, I shall talk to you later!
Robyn's Rantings 12/26/00: Hey Everyone!!! First of all, Happy Boxing Day (go hit your parents...ok don't but anyways). Also, I hope that everyone of you had a wonderful holiday and had fun in snow (for those of you who actually get snow...) Here in California, we got a Christmas Wind and a Fire! Hoo boy it was exciting :) Have a wonderful New Year's also...Hmmm people in Europe have New Year's nine hours ahead..that's interesting..Ok, this is turning in to a giant ramble. Sorry. Anyways Happy Holidays!
Robyn
Robyn's Rantings 11/23/00: Oh, man...it's been almost two months since I updated this. Sorry guys. Well, no one except me ever reads this. It's kinda like an online journal. What's been happening? I dropped calculus..it's too evil. Editorship for the annual is gobbling up time faster than turkey (ahha thanksgiving humor). I have SOOOO much to do right now..it's so crazy. My room is a wreck and there's like 2000000000000000 people coming over tomorrow. And no, I'm not exaggerating :). Life sucks. Kristine is mad at me for not coming to her band competition. Well we tried to go but we got so utterly lost it wasn't even really funny. I dunno, maybe I'm overreacting. So guys, I'll catchy'all laterz. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 9/27/00: Ah qu'est-ce que je peux dire? I went to my cousin's husband's funeral in Atlanta this past weekend. Fun stuff there. He was only 28, and my cousin is six months pregnant. Depressing man. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 9/16/00: Ok, so I'm slow in getting around to writing. There probably won't be any updates for the story for a while... sorry! Anyways, Erica, Reena, and I went to see O-TOWN! at the Brea Mall today! We got there at like 6:30 am..zzz...it was hot...very loud...and crowded. There were like 5000000000 screaming girls who all had reaallly big signs, blocking our view. We got some decent pictures though, even without using my dad's camera (ahem >:( So go check them out at Robyn's Random Pictures! We only have 4 up cause they're kinda big...so anyways, yea! Go O-Town! MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 8/24/00: Wow, it's been a while since I wrote anything here. Rush started this week at the bookstore, so I've been quite busy/tired. My fourth sign language class started last night...it was really interesting...linguistics of ASL and all that good stuff. We're going camping this weekend..promises to be fun! Erica (aka Aciré) is getting her license tomorrow (hopefully!). Gooooooo Erica! I had a slight problem with frames and AOL and I simply have not had enough time to fix everything. I imagine it'll be a while. I've not changed all the counters, and Beseen.com does not seem particularly eager to be of help. Down with Beseen! Ok, well, at least down with Beseen customer service. I don't think I've updated Episode 5 in a couple days...I'll check and put up the new parts if so. Alrighty, talk to y'all later! MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 8/4/00: Sadly, I have rejoined the ranks of the working world again. The bookstore at which I work isn't exactly exciting, however. So I spend my time singing to myself in french and thinking of weird puns that might work out in the stories (ex. Vader's Vador Rub instead of Vick's Vapor Rub). And to think I get paid for doing this. I updated Episode 5 a couple days ago and posted the beginning of the French version of Episode 1 (although floops, if you're reading this..u need to get in touch with me!!). Anyways, I've been having a slight <hack> ok, major problem with Beseen.com and their counters constantly resetting. So I've changed counters on the main page. Quite interesting actually. It's never the same twice. Today I checked it and it was in some sort of dotted code. I think it read 1818 but I could be wrong :) Have a gander on the main page and lemme know what you think of this ever so interesting (but possibly highly confusing) counter. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 7/23/00: Hey que pasa? I'm pleased to announce that Episode 4 is actually done and work on Episode 5 has begun. Yes, we know it took us a year to finish Episode 4, but school gets in the way of everything. We've already done about 10 pages worth on Episode 5 and it is progressing nicely. Um, what else? Oh well, go read Episode 5 and Episode 4 if you haven't already. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 7/13/00: Yeah, I know I just wrote yesterday but I wanted to do a quick shout out to the WONDERFUL people who actually take the time to write to me after reading the stories. Ok, so here goes: Thanks so much to: Peace Archer Rogue Jedi, mfrog19, and JediWarrior! You guys are cool! And let it be known to whomever happens upon these that I personally read and respond to every email sent to me about the stories. And I forward them to Beanie so she can be excited too :) Alright, now that that's done with, MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 7/12/00: I'm back!! Right now it's 3 AM, but hey in Paris that's noon. So I have every right to be awake! I figured while at least I was awake I should update my page. Anyways, yes I have returned. London was cool (except the first day which was 95°F(30°C+) and the hotel had "lost" our reservations) and it was actually clean. Gasp! Paris was darn crowded and the métros were not quite as nice. And in Paris the names of the stops didn't make any sense. For example, if in London we wanted "St. Paul's Cathedral," we would take the tube to the "St. Paul's Cathedral" stop. In Paris, if we wanted the Opèra (which was were our apart'hotel (ca veut dire (that means) apartement/hotel) was located) we had to take a bajillion different lines and get off at the Richlieu-Druorot. Most confusing. Oh and another interesting French trait...while we were there, there was this European cup thingy (Europe's version of the World Cup in football/soccer). Ok picture this. We're driving in the middle of the country, and there are houses lining the roads. Every single entire person in that entire country was standing outside their house screaming at cars because France had won. We were out of Paris by then, but I read that there were 400,000 people at the Champs Élysées. I don't even wanna think about it. It woulda been noisy. Ok, another story..hmm. Oh, we had this crummy rental car Fiat thing who's air conditioner was very broken. We went to the Europcar place in Nantes and they told us to go to the Fiat dealer in Nantes to get it fixed. We go down there...no one speaks ENGLISH! Lucky me, I got to explain that it was a rental, that it was broken, what was broken, and that Europcar told us to bring it here. Then I got to listen to the mechanic babble away. Fortunately for all of us, I understood most of what he said. Ok, well I still have muchos snail mail to go through, so laterz. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 6/17/00: Ok, this will be the last update before I leave for Europe. Sorry in advance. Now Kristine has PROMISED! to write while I'm gone...so all of you out there in internet land make sure she does so! School is finally out! Hallelujah! No more school, no more books, no more Shirokawa's dirty looks (ok so it doesn't quite fit). In an update on the boat....looked really really good. Reena stuck her foot through it when getting in and we kinda sank. Oh well, I'm over it. But hey for you weirdo people who wanna see what the spiffy boat looked like go here: Boat Pic. Ok, well I'm gonna go eat right now...so I'll talk to everyone in three weeks! BYE! oh and MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 6/3/00: Oy vey, my bother (no that's not a typo) has a friend over. And of course, lil ol' me is stuck home with them. Reena and I have been working on our retarded physics boat ALL week. Four days of building the frame, two hours of gluing paper, and four coats of paint later, we're getting ready to detail it tomorrow. Eventually, it will look like a pencil. Maybe I'll make Dad fix the scanner so I can show the world our hard work (and our probable demise to the bottom of Canyon's pool). On a SW note, no, we have not written yet. I think it's been a good long month since we have added anything. It's Kristine's turn and she claims she is "not in a writing mood." Yeah, right Beanie :D. Allright, I'll let y'all know if anything gets written. Oh, and as a side note, for those faithful readers, I'll be in Europe for three weeks after school gets out, so no updates then. Maybe Kristine will finally get around to writing whilst I'm gone. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 5/18/00: Hey peoples. Got another wonderful review on ze stories...big shout out to Darth(ess) Twinkie. That person also has a humorous SW site...check it out at http://members.xoom.com/DarthTwinkie/. I'll add a link to mes contacts page later tonite...THANKS AGAIN Darth(ess) Twinkie :) MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 5/10/00: Hey howdy hoo all you out there in internet land. We haven't exactly written anything at all in a good long time...but I promise that will change once AP tests are over. At least I think I promise. Anyways, big shout out to Bant_Eerin for sending me such a glowing review of a story (I'm not sure which one). I have dress rehearsal tonite for the dance show (even though I'm not in it...looong story...if u know me..you know what I'm talking about). That pretty much sucks. Darn cafeteria's too freakin' cold. Well, I'd better get going and study for History AP cause before I know it, it'll be Friday and I'll be out of time!!! AHH! Wish me (actually, everyone who's taking the AP tests) luck. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 4/28/00: Hallelujah it's Friday! And I don't have to tutor today. Well, I did, but I went up there and they're all, we don't need you today. They could at least call me and tell me this before I drive ALLL the way up there (although I do love to drive my Bug). Ok, we, well, I, just stuck a new part in at the end. Had a genius brainstorm last night at Marie Callender's. Buwahahahahaha >:). All right, I'm going to go add my genius part to the story. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 4/25/00: Hey look it hasn't been a month since I last wrote. I gotta go to sign language in just a minute so this is gonna be fast. Um, I think I added on a new part to Ep. 4. Lemme go look. Yep, definately added a part. Shoot I gotta eat. Later. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 4/15/00: I'm sorry for all of those faithful readers that have been impatiently waiting to read a new installment of Robyn's Rantings (read: zero). School happens. There's a history essay due May 1. I need to get going on that. Je parlerai en français maintenant (don't worry there'll be a translation too). Bien, je reste a yahoo france plus de temps. Je suis devenu une francaise. Les francais, ils pensent que je suis francaise. C'est tres effroyant! (Translation: I'm gonna speak in French now. I spend too much time on yahoo france. I'm becoming French. The French even think that I am French. It's scary!) Bon, err, ok..we haven't written, cause Beanie's been in Hawaii for the week on her spring break. She's coming home tonight. BUt of course, my spring break is next week. Ah the irony of well oiled beaucracy. En tout cas (UGH! i gotta stop doing that) In any case, I turn 17 on Monday. YIPPE! But everyone's gonna be gone, so I'll be lonely. :( sniff. ok, fine I'll stop. MTFBWY.
Robyn's Rantings 3/3/00: Eh, much has been happening. Well, not in the world of the story...but elsewhere. Tests. Some more tests. Oh, yes, did I mention more tests? BLAH I HATE TESTS! Ok well. Hmm. I gotta kick Kristine into writing some more..I forgot where we left off. K, I cannot think of anything to write so I will not. SO there. May the Force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings 2/19/00: There's a new part added on to Episode 4. Quite humourous (or is it humorous?) ANyways, check it out and read it over. I think that someday the battle actually may be over. I think that Kristine may add in the accent guy in addition to the Coco lady. Hehe... So, go have a looksee: Part 4. What goes on in other parts of the world? Anyone? No one? Well, if you live in Orange County you need to go see Esperaza's production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" (even though they have mental problems and think it's spelled 'Your a Good man etc.' Bad bad grammar.) I think it plays through next week. It was most humourous and if you sit in the "special" seats, they drag you up on stage...guess who got dragged up :) Ok well, May the Force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings 2/10/00: Ha ha, I found a parody song on the web and added it into the story. Most intersting. To the tune of "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Be scared. Be very scared. "...where your vintage wines are stored...The Horde is marching on..." Go read it here.Buwahahahahaha. I gotta add on that new part too...hmm...anyways, physics to study...May the Force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings 2/5/00: OK, new part in the works...will update as soon as I can. Part that Kristine wrote was, as promised, quite hilarious...now I gotta follow up on that. Geez, this battle thingy is taking forever!! Kinda like the date thingy in Ep. 1. Ok, well, I gotta go to Reena's house pretty soon to study in history (400 questions, 50 terms and a reading to memorize.) and I still have math and french to do. Ick. I think school got harder since finals ended. Oh and our vocab test was postponed again until Tuesday. Which is good, because when I was reviewing in class when we weren't doing anything, I realized that there were quite a few words that I didn't know. I should type up the rest of the review exercises. Man. Too much to do. May the Force be with you. (BTW...got a B+ in English).
Robyn's Rantings 1/28/00: And yet still no updates. Je suis désolée. (I'm sorry.) Finals are over. That's the big news today. YES! And provided I manage to pull an A in Shiro, (for those of you who don't know me, I have never ever gotten a B in English...only A's) I will get straight A's! Yea!!! Woo hoo! I got an A math! I got an A in math! Ok, I can't think of anything to write...maybe later. May the Force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings 1/22/00: Still no updates, sorry. I gotta build a mousetrap car this weekend and memorize my french oral, study for math on Monday, ahhhhhhhhhhhh I hate finals! I think that, when Kristine gets done writing, it will have something to do with torturing Obi-Wan (even though he's supposed to be "dead"...but if you haven't read the story, I don't want to spoil it. Of course, I'm sure that I'm the only one who ever ever reads these. But, someday, far in the future, there'll be an hommage to me on the web somewhere. Even if it's only these little rantings. Ah well. So, what's up in the rest of the world? Looks like it might rain again (we sure need it. we've gotten 1/2 inch of rain so far. that's like 1.5 cm). All right, all right, I'll stop ranting. May the force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings 1/19/00: Can you tell I was bored today? All of our teachers went on a sick-out and we were left with incompetent subs and a few bouncers. Most intersting. Well, let's see. I didn't update today cause Kristine has not yet written a new part. I can understand though. Finals next week. Troy's a hard, hard school. ANYWAYS, did you know that there are over 6000 different Obi-Wan sites? I learned that yesterday. I also learned not to cross those enourmous summer sausages from Price Club (er...Costco) with oranges. Everytime I turned around yesterday, Mom was either bringing in more sausage or oranges. I nearly died. I think I need a different program for my webpage. Or I need to learn how to use it better. Or I need better graphics. Probably a combination of the three. Well, that's about all I can think of today. Dad just got home. May the force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings 1/18/00: It was kind of dreary out here in sunny CA today. No, wait, that was yesterday. I went and saw Cider House Rules for the second time (thank god for staff development days). Not as good as Star Wars, I'll warrant (but what is?). I'm listening to 'Double Fantasy' (John Lennon)...I have bit of an ecclectic series of interests (Yellow Submarine is up next, then I may go hunt down my new Celine Dion CD). I took a bunch of pictures the other day of all my Obi stuff, but it's a 36 roll and I still haven't filled that roll up. I wonder when it was from (the rest of the pictures, I mean). Oh, I finally figured out how to put a password thingy when my iMac starts up. My bro was forever coming in and trying to play Podracer on my poor iMac. But now, he can't! Only I know the password. Course I can't really blame him for wanting to play, it is an awfully nifty game. Well, time to start working (FINALS IN ONLY TWO WEEKS!!!) Oh, for anyone who's in Shiro's english...vocab test postponed to next semester...Macbeth test is on finals day, not Thursday. May the Force be with you. (I love saying that.)
Robyn's Rantings 1/9/00: How are y'all today? I had to a French journal today on Albert Camus' Les Justes. SOOO boring. I almost fell asleep writing it. I think I will add a "small" French greeting to my main page. Just for kicks. Who's to say that English should be the predominent language of the world? I mean, even sign language isn't universal. The Brits fingerspell all funky with two hands and what have you. Ah well. It's already 4. I have school tomorrow. Evil evil school (evil...evil is his one and only name...dododododo. evil...in his mind there is no other game....dododododododo). My dog is sleeping on my bed. She doesn't seem to care about my web page <sniff>. If you read this YOU HAVE TO EMAIL ME!!! I want to get some feedback on the stories!! It's fun to hear what people have to say. Since August..I've gotten exactly...1 email from one guy. Kristine and I were SOOOO excited. Anyways, I updated today. That's great Robyn. Well, I dont' know what to write here, cause no one gives me any feedback. Ah well. May the Force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings 1/7/00: Kristine maintains that I am obsessed with Obi-Wan. I still disagree. I mean, three dolls, a book, a lightsaber and some Legos don't qualify as being obsessed, do they? Oh and a poster too. I just looked up in the mirror and saw it reflected next to my iMac "Yum." poster. So what if shop.starwars.com was giving a killer deal on a normally $50 Obi doll? It was freakin' only $14 bucks! I'm not obsessed! I'm not! Ok, well, maybe just a little. As for the stories...uh well. I still say, Kristine, that if you get to make Annya go gaga over Kendao, I get to make Beanie have eight thousand million kids. (Side note: we created the main crazy characters after ourselves, so we think of them as ourselves. One good turn deserves another, right?) Following up on that side note, let's do a little person recognition. Robann, that's moi, Robyn. Ann happens to be my middle name. Beanie, well, that's Kristine. Beanie is a nickname sprung from Kristini-Beanie. Aciré (who is good in ep.1 but not so good in ep. 4, like Ttocs) is Erica. Ttocs is Scott. Annya, well, that another reincarnation of myself...but younger. Annya and Wyndee are Robann's kids. Jaren is the youngest of Beanie's seventeen kids. Kendao (or as I like to call him...Kendoll) is Ttocs' son and Chye and Elleim are Aciré's twins. See, Luke and Leia aren't the ONLY Jedi twins around. Well, anyways, my hands are about to turn into popsicles (it's so freakin' freezing in Southern CA..I'd say 70° F...which is, uh...21°C (thank you newton)), so I'm going to sign off for today. May the Force be with you.
Robyn's Rantings, The Original: So, you wanna know what transgresses in the minds of these two crazy people? Well, seeing that I am one of the two, I think I can speak, for the most part, for myself. We first created Episode 1 the summer after it came out. We were bored. School was out. We had nothing better to do than to poke fun at the most easily made-fun of movie in the world. (You may note that as the story goes along, Jar Jar disappears completely. We noticed this a little too late and didn't really feel like bringing him back.) So, over countless emails and a good solid month, we finally finished. Then somebody had the brilliant idea that we should write another one. Hence, Episode 4 was born. We aren't done as of yet. I say it's taken a good six months so far (darn school).
