Troop 272 Began in November of 2002 with 11 registered members.   Now in 2005 we have 15 members and two new leaders.

Our troop has been to Dayspring twice, Kingwood Center, Cleveland and Columbus Zoos, Our Public Library, Local Fire Department, Jones Potato Chip Factory, Alice Noble Ice Arena, Cosi, Club Libby Lu, and Several McDonalds and Pizza Huts.

Every year we have a troop scrapbooking party.  At this party we scrapbook all of the pictures from the last year.

We also host a halloween party complete with a haunted garage, and costume contest.

The girls also plan ceremonies throughout the year and they help prepare a Thanksgiving Feast for their families.

We would like to welcome all of our new members.  As of July 25, 2006  we have 16 members.  WooHOOO!!!!

June 1, 2006 ~ We had 11 girls bridge from Brownies to Juniors and one bridging from Junior to Cadette.  Congrats!!!

June 16 thru 18, 2006 ~ 6 girls and 3 leaders spent the weekend Discovering the Great Outdoors.  There was hiking, geology, water fun, bird watching, compass trails, watching water life in the pond, crafts, campfire and smores, singing, and meeting lots of new and old friends.   They also competed some requirements for the Rocks Rock badge.  Fun was had by all.

June 29, 2006 ~ 6 girls went to Ryan's buffet and learned about buffet etiquette.  While learning manners they also enjoyed a buffet lunch.

July 2, 2006 ~ 12 girls participated in the Miss Ohio Parade and Meet and Greet.  The girls had the opportunity to meet and have pictures taken with contestants and then were able to participate in the parade.

July 11, 2006 ~ 7 girls spent the morning learning how to canoe and working towards their small craft badge.  Lucky for us the Aqua Joe and Scuba Scott no one tipped their canoe.  :)  The girls were able to learn about water safety and take canoes and row boats out on the lake.  They had a great time.

July 21, 2006 ~ 8 girls enjoyed a tour of the local hospital and enjoyed a wonderful lunch provided by the hospital. The girls also received a special hospital patch and completion certificate.

July 22, 2006 ~ 7 girls joined 2 leaders at our council camp for the day.  The girls earned the new challenge award and also were able to partake in the camp's newest addition; The Challenge Courses.   They played new games and had pizza.  They all want to do it again.

August 26, 2006 ~ 12 girls and 3 leaders had a back to school pool party at Miss Nicki's house.  There was swimming, and jumping on the trampoline.  Then we had a potluck dinner with lots of good food.  After dinner the girls played volleyball, had a wheelbarrel race and a relay race.  Then they had a hula hoop contest.  We then had a bonfire and of course had yummy smores.

September 23, 2006 ~  18 girls and 5 adults stayed at our council camp; Camp Crooked Lane.  We started with making a Kaper Chart and once that was done the girls headed out to the Challenge Course.  They then took time to write nice things about their sister Girl Scouts.  For dinner there was salad, garlic bread, spaghetti with meat sauce and fettuccini sauce.  After dinner we scrap booked our pictures from the past year.  Wow, some great pages were created, as always.  Then it was chill out time.  We got out the cots and made our beds.  Lights out at 11pm.  In the morning the girls had muffins and poptarts for breakfast and then it was off to cleaned up and get ready to go home.
