The cars: Bob's STP Pontiac, Gilles Valvoline Taurus, Steve's CAT Grand Prix, Ed's Coors Light Grand Prix, Neils McDonalds Taurus

Steve wasted no time and got in as many pre race practice laps as possible. This would be his big debut on a track other than his own Newmarket Hills Raceway.
Bob also took advantage of the track time and quickly introduced most of his cars to the retaining walls.
Neil set his McDonalds Taurus on the track and quickly showed the Newmarket crowd he was ready to race turning quick laps as soon as he had controller in hand

Gilles arrived soon after the visitors and after a quick introduction got out his cars and began turning his practice laps.
We were informed that Gilles had been testing until the early morning and it showed. His cars were fast and smooth.

All drivers attacked Sudbury south with all they had but when power went off only one would be on top... and on this day that person would be Steve from Newmarket Hills.
I'm sure this victory was bitter sweet for Steve as it was just last October when Neil walked home with the victory from Newmarket Hills first big race.
