| Rays of morning sunlight streamed through the veranda and into the bedroom where Morgan lay. She could feel the warmth on her face, and quickly kicked off the comforter. The heat made her smile. It was a welcome difference from the usual chill Seattle had been having the past few weeks. She barely opened her eyes and peered out sleepily at the gorgeous sight before her. Clear blue skies. Trade winds blowing through the trees. What a beautiful day, huh? Morgan mumbled as she leaned over to the left side of the bed. She let her hand roam the pillow, expecting to feel Apolos tousled locks between her fingertips. Nothing. Yawning, she opened her eyes and stared at his indentation in the mattress. Morgans heart sank momentarily. He must have left early this morning. She reached for her robe out of habit, but to no avail, it was gone too. Morgan sat fully upright on the bed, perplexed. Then it hit her like a freight train: They had gone to his place last night. * * * Are you ready? Yes. Morgan wrapped her legs around the small of Apolos back as he quickly pushed into her. She bit down on her lower lip, closing her eyes. He remained there for a while, making sure she felt every part of him fill her, and smiled down at Morgan. Apolo could tell by the small motions of her hips and the desperate sound of her bound wrists against metal that she was growing impatient. Open your eyes. Slowly, Morgans vision cleared, and she stared into those rich, chocolate pools. He held her gaze for a moment, then started a steady rhythm. Morgan watched, mesmerized, as the contours of his strong back changed with every hard, deliberate thrust. She wanted to reach down and wrap herself around him, to have her hands explore down his perspiring body, and the fact that she couldnt, brought Morgan close to the edge. She clenched her fists, the only way she could retain her sanity. Morgans eyes drifted back up to Apolos, distracting herself from coming too soon. The sharp colors had become cloudy as if with lust. And what was once dark brown had become a dull greenish hazel. * * * Yawning, Morgan pulled on one of Apolos dress shirts and made her way to the bathroom. After freshening up, she started down the stairs, then stopped on the landing. There he was, behind the kitchen counter, clad in his boxers. She sighed; he was cooking her breakfast. Morgan ran her fingers through her hair and continued down the staircase. You amaze me, she said, wrapping her arms around Apolo from behind. Apolo turned around and flashed her his famously sexy grin. He leaned down and kissed her softly. Minty fresh. Well, halitosis just kind of ruins the mood, dont you think? Yeah, it does. Youre so smart, he murmured, his mouth inches away from hers. I try. By the way, Morgan paused, you better watch your eggs. Theyre on the verge of burning. Apolo chuckled and turned the stove off as Morgan took a seat across from him at the tile counter. He looked at her lovingly while scraping the golden eggs onto a couple of plates. Morgan smiled and began to slightly blush. What are you looking at? Im feeling a little self-conscious here, she joked. I was just thinking. About what? Its going to sound stupid, he replied, half playfully, half earnestly. No it wont. Tell me. Please? Okay, but I dont know if this is going to make sense or not. So dont interrupt me. But you can say whatever you want when Im done, alright? Morgan nodded as Apolo set the plate of toast and scrambled eggs in front of her. Well, you know Sarah right? She has this amazing little, red dress, and even though were pretty much over, I think, I still have to admit, she looks damn hot when she wears it. And its not just me that thinks she looks great in it, like, well go to a party or something, and heads will literally turn. Apolo grinned at Morgan, her face contorted in confusion. But let me go on. Thats not the end of the story yet. So, anyway, when I was just looking at you, I thought, I dont want that little, red dress. When I saw you this morning in just my shirt, oh god, youyou made me ache. And not a bad ache, I dont want you thinking that he trailed off, placing his hands atop Morgans. You just looked so much sexier now that Sarah ever will with all her glitter make up crap. And the thought of not knowing that until now, made me ache because I had never realized it before. And I wish I had. Did that make any sense? Morgans eyes brimmed with tears. More than youll ever know, she whispered, leaning over to kiss Apolo passionately. She let her lips roam over his as his fingers massaged the back of her neck, when suddenly, the phone rang. Before Apolo could answer, Morgan blindly reached and picked up the phone. |
