| THE HEADHUNTER IN THE BMWF (part four) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
|||||||||||||||||||||||
| --------->However the events of the 31st of March were a lot different than most people could have imagined. The Balaclava Man appeared early in the event, jumping the outdoor security barriers to enter the arena. The match between The Headhunter and Dozer Phillips was best described as intense and bloody. The two beat each other around the arena until finally Dozer Phillips capitalised on a mistake by The Headhunter and won the match. The Hardcore era of The Headhunter was over. The most shocking moment came after the match when the Balaclava Man appeared and launched an attack on The Headhunter. He threw the British superstar through a glass window overlooking the loading dock of the arena. The Headhunter flew through the glass and landed in an open dumpster twenty feet below. He was unconcious and was taken by ambulance to the local hosiptal. The Balaclava Man taunted The Headhunter, saying that he was finally rid of him. He claimed that it was the last time that anyone would see the Balaclava Man as he would never return with his face hidden again. It seemed that the mystery superstar would never be revealled. The Headhunter would be out of action for over a month, with the injuries he sustained as a result of the attack. Keeping to his word, no-one appeared in the BMWF after Bruisermania, wearing a balaclava. THE RETURN AND PROBLEM SOLVED One month after being taken out of action at Bruisermania, The Headhunter returned at Canadian Stampede in dramatic fashion. As the match between The Dawg and Deva Stator ended, the sound of thunder blasted across the PA. A voice began to boom from the speakers: "YOU TRIED TO DESTROY THE PATH OF DOMINATION, TRIED TO SHAKE OFF THE TARGET WHICH HUNTED YOU, BUT HELL HAS RETURNED AND HEADS WILL ROLL ONCE AGAIN!!" As the lights came up a masked figure stood behind Deva Stator in the ring. He took a microphone and asked him "Who would appear in front of you in a mask?" Deva Stator said he had no idea, but did he? The masked man held up a balaclava and Deva Stator's eyes grew wide. The masked man ripped off his disguise to show the world that The Headhunter was back, and he had come for Deva Stator. He launched a vicious assault into the Canadian, leaving him battered and bloody. On the following Live, The Headhunter came to the ring and showed the audience footage which incriminated Deva Stator. At Bruisermania, The Headhunter had his trainer Wally Kowalski follow the Balaclava Man. Kowalski gained footage of the man removing the balaclava as he drove away from the arena. There was no doubt about it, it was Deva Stator. The Headhunter challenged Deva Stator to a match at the following pay-per-view Revolution. As the days past it became clear that Deva Stator had disappeared. To this day he has never appeared. WHAT WAS NEXT FOR THE HUNTER? As Deva Stator was A.W.O.L. The Headhunter had little direction for his rage, To add to that the powers that be in the BMWF had made the decision to push him down the rankings for his five week long absebce. This doubled his anger, and he wondered what he had done to deserve such treatment. However a chance encounter with fellow British wrestler Lord Steven would take The Headhunter in a direction he would never have expected. Controversy was about to enter the life of The Headhunter in ways that be imagined. THE BRITISH UNITE On the May 5th edition of Live, The Headhunter took on Rance Storm. An encounter in the backstage area between The Headhunter, Storm and his tag team partner Lord Steven caused problems in the team. During the match Rance Storm called for help from Lord Steven but he hesitated allowing The Headhunter to get the victory. On the following Bedlam, The Headhunter helped Lord Steven to victory over Savio Garcia. Later that night, Storm and Steven interjected themselves into The Headhunter's match. Storm went after The Headhunter, recieving a Targetbuster for his trouble. However Lord Steven used a set of Brass Knux to help his fellow Brit get the victory over Hector Barfza. It appeared that the once tight tag team was split on The Headhunter issue. It was clear that the problem was between The Headhunter and Rance Storm, so Lord Steven called out the two men to find a solution to their differences. Lord Steven's personal solution was very unexpected as he attacked his tag team partner and united himself with The Headhunter! The potential impact that this new team could create was revealled later that night. Lord Steven came to the ring for his match and declared to the world that he and The Headhunter would re-create the British Empire and dominate the BMWF. Lord Steven himself got off to a good start by defeating Mr Flawless, showing that a change had occurred in the veteran after not winning many matches in several years. The Headhunter also gained an easy victory later that night against La Pakka. The British were united and they had shown their intentions. BRITAIN VERSUS AMERICA? The direction of the new British team changed from its early course of pure domination to a more shocking path. Lord Steven was obviously bitter with being reduced to mere jobber status for the past year, and he blamed his treatment on the powers that be in the BMWF. He began to attack the nature of the USA and said that the people were blinded by a phoney concept known as the "American Dream". His criticisms were taken very much to heart by many of the BMWF superstars, who were quick to defend their country. Perhaps the person who was most angered was the BMWF Champion Lowedown. cont----------------> |
