| THE HEADHUNTER IN THE BMWF (part three) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
|||||||||||||||||||||||
| --------> The Goons ran to ring side and viciously attacked The Headhunter, but in an amazing show of sportsmanship, Core helped him fend off the Goons, allowing the match to fairly continue. When it was all said and done The Headhunter became BMWF Hardcore Champion, after he smashed Core with the Targetbuster. After a short celebration he chased the Goons and the Balaclava Man to the parking lot. Their car was ready to go, allowing them to escape, but not before the Balaclava Man claimed the footage of his identity would never be shown. This would not be the last time that The Headhunter would meet up with these three men before Bruisermania 2003. THE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES During his feud with Asylum, The Headhunter continued with his peronal investigation as to who sold him out to the mob. On a tappe which The Judge had provided, there was footage of Michelle talking to the man from the roster on a cell phone. This tape proved Michelle's involvement and gave The Headhunter further information to press on with the case. Several days later he recieved a call from a mystery informant telling him to go to a restaurant where a package containing vital information would be delivered to him. He travelled to the restaurant and a stranger handed him a tape. However he had already missed another tape being delivered, one which BMWF announcer Slim Jim Sullivan had picked up for him earlier. The first tape contained a message from the man who The Headhunter had been hunting down. The tape riled The Headhunter into a rage, as the mystery man said that he was so far away from being discovered. However, a smile returned to The Headhunter's face when he discovered the content of the second tape. It was the long lost CCTV footage of the bridge in Detroit, where the entire kidnapping took place. The footage was heavily blurred but two of the three men present could be identified as the Goons from the mob in London. The shadowy third man could not be seen due to the distortion on the tape, but it was obvious that this was the man who had sold him out. The BMWF production staff took the tape and began the slow process of cleaning the footage up. The hiding place was shrinking for the man who sold The Headhunter out. REVELATIONS The Headhunter made the bold move of challenging the Mob Goons to a handicap match. Everyone had their doubts that they would ever show up in the BMWF again, but they did, without their balaclavered leader. The Headhunter held his own in the contest until the Balaclava Man showed up and the three men beat Hunter down. He then took the microphone and declared all for the world to hear. The Balaclava Man had taken a trip to Las Vegas and lost a massive amount of money in one particualr casino. This venue was owned by a businessman from London, who was also the leader of a Mob. It was this man who had ordered the death of The Headhunter. Without much money left the Balaclava Man had no way of paying off his debt, or did he? He discovered that the casino owner desired the death of The Headhunter above anything else, so he agreed a deal which would see both parties satisfied. The Headhunter's former flame Michelle provided the information which allowed the Balaclava Man to contact the Mob Leader. The Balaclava Man would hand The Headhunter to the Mob on a plate and his debt would be cleared. The plan was set and after the Season's Beatings pay-per-view The Headhunter was kidnapped. But The Headhunter escaped so the deal was off meaning that the only thing that the Balaclava Man could do was to give the Mob Leader the money which he had made in the BMWF, leaving him broke again. It became clear as the Balaclava Man ranted to The Headhunter that he blamed him for him becoming bankrupt. He declared that he would beat Hunter until he died. HEADING TO THE GRANDADDY OF THEM ALL As Bruisermania approached it became apparent that The Headhunter would be heading into the super-event with title gold. This was re-inforced after he defeated Suicycho in his first title defence as the Balaclava Man watched on from the stage. As the match ended The Headhunter chased him into the back but lost him in the cargo dock. Suddenly the Balaclava Man emerged from a hiding place and smashed The Headhunter with a plank of wood, knocking him unconcious. Reaching Bruisermania would not be an easy task. On the following Bedlam The Headhunter defended his title against the number one contender Dozer Phillips. The British superstar got the victory but it was announced that there would be a re-match at Bruisermania. Around this time The Headhunter's car was stolen. A note left at his home revealed that it was the Balaclava Man who wrote that the car was at the bottom of the ocean and that The Headhunter would soon be joining it. In a move to even the sides out The Headhunter called the police in on the Mob Goons and it was revealed that they had entered the US illegally. They were arrested and deported back to England leaving the Balaclava Man with no back up. The tables had appeared to have turned to favour The Headhunter, and he tried to get himself an advantage for his match with Dozer Phillips at Bruisermania when he viciously assaulted the bWo member. The Headhunter was on top going into his first Bruisermania. BRUISERMANIA: NOT A GOOD NIGHT As the day of the BMWF's premier annual event rolled around, it appeared that after an hellacious month of contanst battles The Headhunter was finally in an advantageous position. continued-----------> |
