| THE HEADHUNTER IN THE BMWF (part two) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
|||||||||||||||||||||||
| THE INVESTIGATION BEGINS The investigation to discover the true identity of the man who sold The Headhunter out has been slow, mainly due to other incidents affecting his stay in the BMWF. The re-appearance of Michelle, who met with a mystery superstar gave the search a new boost. This meeting confirmed to The Headhunter that indeed Michelle was involved in the situation, along with someone from the roster. His prime suspect became The Judge, who was quick to deny the allegations, and soon after, provided evidence that became crucial in the pending investigation. The Judge informed his former enemy that Gina, an estranged member of Legal Corruption, caught Michelle on a cell phone providing the location of the mob leader to someone she obviously knew, someone from the BMWF! The Judge also provided a tape which would eventually reveal all, and capture the guilty party. THE MAN IN THE HEADHUNTER MASK During the time of the kidnap investigation, someone wearing a Headhunter mask began attacking the street fighting veteran from behind on several editions of Bedlam and Live. This person became a thorn in The Headhunter's side, preventing him from conducting a successful investigation. Although it would be imagined that the two incidents would be linked, The Headhunter quickly made it clear that he believed otherwise, saying that person who sold him out to the mob worked differently to this person. It took several weeks to discover the identity of the masked attacker. The two were scheduled to fight in a match during an episode of Bedlam. If The Headhunter got the victory then he would be able to unmask his attacker. He quickly disposed of his opponent then set his sights on revealing who the person was. He ripped the novelty rubber mask from the face of the mystery man unveiling him as Asylum, an old Headhunter enemy from the Team Destruction days. For the trouble Asylum had caused The Headhunter, the London native began what he called the 'Asylum Pay Back Programme' which he declared would run right up to the No Way In Pay-Per-View. This would consist of persistant and increasingly worse attacks by The Headhunter on Asylum. For No Way In, Hunter challenged Asylum to a match on his terms. At the time of writing Asylum has yet to answer the offer, but with both superstars being eliminated from a tournament for the BMWF TV Title (the final of which taken place at No Way In) it is expected that he will accept. THE ASYLUM PAY BACK PROGRAMME After the discovery by The Headhunter that it was Asylum who was behind the Headhunter mask, he set in motion the Asylum Pay Back Programme to gain revenge on the man that had caused him a great amount of trouble over several weeks, which would hopefully conclude with a match at the following Pay-Per-View. His first act against Asylum was a victory over him in a tag team contest, declaring that this was the easy part of the programme, and swearing that it would get much worse for him. And it did just a few days later when The Headhunter punished Asylum with a steel chair in a backstage attack. On a Valentines Day addition of Live, love was definately not in the air. Asylum accepted The Headhunter's demand for a match at No Way In, and later in the night was beaten for his trouble. The Headhunter dragged him around the area, hitting him with various objects, pouring boiling hot coffee onto his body, then trapped him inside a giant plastic heart! The Headhunter's next attack was not on Asylum himself, but on his car. He slashed the tyres and carved a message into the paint work of Asylum's motor vehicle. At this time the two discovered that their match would in fact be a weapons on a pole match, where several weapons would be hung from poles attached to the ringposts. On the final Live before No Way In, The Headhunter teamed up with Vernon Vanderbilt to take on Asylum and his partner Tamer. When all was said and done The Headhunter got the pinfall over Tamer and then turned his attention to Asylum once again. The Headhunter punished Asylum by displaying some of the weapons which would feature in their match at No Way In, a demonstrated what he would do with them. After being beaten with a trash can lid and a Singapore Cane, Asylum managed to escape and avoided being hit with a set of Brass Knux. At the Pay-Per-View however, Asylum wasn't so lucky. After a devasting encounter involving some high impact shots from both men, The Headhunter came out victorious after a Targetbuster onto a steel chair. That match ended the Asylum Pay Back Programme, but who knows when the two will tangle up again. THE MONTH OF HELL BEGINS After defeating Asylum at No Way In, it was believed that The Headhunter would be able to concentrate all of his attention on discovering which BMWF superstar had sold him out to the mob. However there were several occurences which made this impossible. On the Live sow which followed the pay-per-view, The Headhunter was shocked to see that the Mob Goons (who kidnapped him after the tip-off from the mystery superstar) had showd up at the arena. He headed into his match with Kurt Dangle not knowing what the agenda of these two men was, but as the contest concluded he soon found out. The Mob Goons stormed the ring and assaulted The Headhunter with baseball bats, leaving the British fighter unconcious. Just three days later The Headhunter was scheduled to face Core for the Hardcore Title, but was going into the match far less than 100%. As an insurance policy he brought in wrestling legend and his former trainer Wally 'Chiller' Kowalski, an action which immediately paid off. Kowalski immobilised the two goons as The Headhunter headed for his match. As the hard-hitting contest wore on the lights in the arena went out. On the Bruisertron appeared a man, his face covered by a balaclava. This man revealed that he had attacked Kowalski and released the Goons, who were now on their way to the ring. As the man spoke it became clear that he was the one who had sold The Headhunter out. continued----------> |
