| Kel didn't think anyone would choose her to be their squire, so she is quite surprised when Sir Raoul of Goldenlake & Malorie's Peak, Knight commander of the King's Own asks her to be his. She gratefully accepts the offer. Soon Raoul begins teaching Kel such things as logistics and commanding. While this is going on, the Great Progress begins. The Great Progress is basically this big tour of the country which lasts for 2 years and involves tournaments, balls, & the like. The occasion for this is the betroval of Prince Roald, the Heir, to Princess Shinkokami of the Yamani Ils. While on Progress Kel has to continue her lessons and take care of a baby griffin she saved from a killer centaur. She also falls in love w/ the extremely romantic & slightly annoying Cleon. However, things get a bit depressiing when 2 squires fail their ordeal and Scanra starts attacking the northern border. Kel begins to wonder what will happen when she undergoes her Ordeal... |
