Well this was my first off road event with the Mitsubishi Four Wheel Drive Club. They were having their annual Thanksgiving Rally in Arizona's desert. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Figure 1 John (R) and I (L ) "Later Dude!" |
Figure 2 On the trail "Dead set Sexy" |
Figure 3 Checking stream depth..." I know, I know... You don't do it this way... |
Figure 4 Now that we know it's clear... "Wooo Hoooo!!!" |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Figure 5 Angeli liked that water crossing... "Woah what a feeling!" |
Figure 6 "This thing goes like a tank... DOE!!!" Stuck in the Mud |
Figure 7 Getting out was fun... had to jump 5 feet to get to a dry bank. |
Figure 8 Thankfully, this happened when they still rescued stuck 4x4's. |

Just a quick note about Figure 8... Hollister SVRA used to winch out stuck vehicles. Today however they no longer do that. I was told that they stopped when someone sued them for damaging his/her vehicle while winching it free. My thoughs on this... Someone should SHOOT the bozo for getting stuck, accepting help and then trying to sue the folks that help them. Any jerk (I really wanna use the word As_hole here.. what the hell, this is a free country...) Any ASSHOLE who gets in a jam and then proceeds to sue the police that help him/her out of the jam is worthless to the human race. And dont give me the arguement that those Rangers may have done something negligent. I've met a number of them and they were all cool. Whew... I'm ok now... really gotta stop having double shots of espresso before working on this site though!! |
