• 24 Jan 2009: Just web house keeping... Updated my 1 Jan entry. Times flies when you're having fun or when events just happen faster than you can keep up with. I'm out of here for a while so stay fit or get fit, watch out for injuries, use your powers for good (not evil), pay attention to your parents and/or pay attention to your children. Teach your kids to fight for what's right. Give back to the community. Learn something new everyday. One more thing, by all means possible, have fun!
• 8 Jan 2009: Set your goals for this year. Amazon states the top three New Year's Goals are: Lose weight, start a new hobby, and upgrade your technology. My goals: more technology - not enough in the house; can barely get an open computer and I'm the web samurai! New hobby - systema, master the one arm pushup, & get certified in something besides 'insane.' Old hobby - master the soccer ball... Is it soccer season yet?
• 1 Jan 2009: 2009 - celebrating TWO YEARS of independence with my gratitude to the rebellion force: the Sardonic Samurai Brethren & eldest Nonconformist Ninja devotchka. It all started with writing a manifesto, researching better business models (thanks Lancaster, UK, & Master Green!), absorbing a new languange and using adequate skills in other languages, writing it all down, and using the means of the virtual adept community. Information and ideas are free! Copyright date updated for 2009 on the entire web site. Added some cool systema martial arts videos to add to students repertoire of ninja/spy tricks. Schedule is updated for 2009. Looking for adult martial arts instructors. Your webmaster/instructor will be out of town quite a bit over the next six months. NYC! TRAINING! WOO HOO!

• 2 Jul 2008: 2 days into the month, I finally got the new schedule up...
• 30 Jun 2008: Updated Resources & Errata (corrects the Japanese term for this particular joint lock; thanks goes to Casey); uploaded new 4th Kyu PDF file
• 27 Jun 2008: Stuck in Vegas, fortunately day job has its moments and is currently way cooler than working at the gym - which is cool too - but at times the day job blows away my other two jobs) - updated on the website: How to Teach Front Stance updated; weapons white papers updated (added papers on Odo & History of Bo); added this new feature for the virtual adept that needs to know the latest changes on the website (curriculum changes will remain on the Errata section); also formally declaring independence from any ties to commercial school - musical and personal differences and all; Students - know your rights! Don't sign contracts without your sidekick lawyer letting you know what you are getting into! (homage to HST which is appropriate in the City of Fear and Loathing)
• 22 Aug 2008: Looks I'll be raking in the airplane milage this fall. Back from half way round the world and updating the web site. Sorry so far behind, there's only one adult running the program and between 4 kids, 3 jobs, and global commitments, things get invariably forgotten, cast to the side, or trampled upon. Web/Class/Karate updates were just cast aside for a spell. So here goes this month's changes: Sep-Oct 08 Schedule change reflected on announcements, Class info, and Resources page. September schedule posted. In case you're interested, here's where I go when I get a chance to go. Can't wait until the next trip...

• 4 Sep 2008: Looking for a few good men, women, or even children for a 30 minute demo next Friday. Updated announcements. Today's joke: Went to BK today. Got a Neopet tiger in my kids meal. So did my lunch buddy. I told him I don't like tigers, they scare me. He said don't worry, it's just two of them.
• 1 Oct 2008: Did you ever feel like a blind folded monkey driving an out of control car with tooth picks? It's 1 Oct, time for a fresh start... Updated: index, announcements rescheduling the student helper training sacrificing my one free Saturday of the month (Dec 20), and of course, the weblog. Had to delay training another month, I'll be in the desert again in November.
• 26 Nov 2008: Malcheks! It's been a long time since I did anything to the web site. More trips to the desert. The Mojave desert this time. So, not to be a total slacker, I at least posted the last minute change for class on the eve of Thanksgiving and then took out the announcements after class so you may have missed it altogether. Apologies to all, didn't find out the Y was not closing early until Tuesday night. New announcements for uniform policy for plain gi tops and thanks to my friends for filling in for me while spending late nights in the middle of nowhere, Nevada, getting OJT while working on IT experiments.

• 28 Nov 2008: OK Dovotchkas! Updated curriculum green belt supplement and curriculum, & errata page; starting to think of what to do for a black belt test for Casey...and ordering more belts for class and creating next year's schedule times for class based on a growing population of students while listening to music from Garbage CD. Happiness is a shipment of new CDs and books from Amazon. It's the only reason I keep the gym job around - it pays for guitars and other musical addictions of mine. LATER THAT EVENING: Check it out, check it out, check it out: proposed 2009 schedule is posted in the class info section and also sent to the YMCA boss staff. Ok, I'm going to finish my carbonated beverage (uhm... Diet Pepsi...) and read the new book while listening to... what else... placebo. Cheers!
