I don’t dream usually. My sleep usually swirls with unending darkness that does neither calm me nor instill fear. Ocasionally however, strange dreams pop out that I can neither make heads or tails of. This is one of the few.

In the dream, I was a medium who had special dog, that could help me enter the state of trance. Interestingly enough, the dog also could detect supernatural presence. It does this by eeriely, unnaturally cocking its head 90 degrees and giving a long humanlike moan. Trust me, the visual of a dog cocking its head past its natural turning point and giving the moan is very, very creepy and disconcerting. I still get goosebumps when I think about it.

The method of which I induce trance in myself was interesting and was rather funny when I reflected on it. The process began with the dog biting my hand and applying pressure slowly to induce pain. It is with this pain that I will drown out my remaining senses and enter the trance-like state. This will enable the spirits that the person or persons wanted to commune with, take posession of my body.

However, the main content of the dream wasn’t about me per se, but rather a female friend who was troubled by a supernatural presence at her home. She is a reporter however, and I believed that she was asked by her editor to verify or debunk my so called skills as a medium. It was much later when we set up a meeting at her house that I sensed it was a mix of the two.

The process began like I described earlier. I placed the dog in the middle of the room where she described as having the most permeating sense of supernatural presence. The dog sniffed around and came to stop in the middle of the room, and began it’s creepy clockwork dance. The head cocking 90 degrees to one side and the long moan. Creepy.

The séance ritual was to begin as we seated ourselves next to the dog. I had the dog bite my hand and as it increase the pressure, the pain started to overwhelm the other senses, and I began to fall into the trance-like stake….. Only to realise that the dog has released it grip and was growling at my friend.

As I looked at her face, I saw her right eye had indeed changed to the eye of a cat, while her other eye remained human. Faced with such an strange sight, the first sentence that came out of my mouth were.. “That’s not supposed to happen to you!” She ran to the washroom and I could hear a gasp. When she came out later, I could see that her eye was changing back to normal. You could obviously see the faded image of the cat’s eye in her right eye, but it was fading fast.

In my head, I thought about it. Nothing like this has happened before, and I toyed with the idea of actually trying to complete the séance and see what happens. I feel like a person trying to open Pandora’s box. I think I can understand why some people, given the chance would open Pandora’s box without second thought. As clear as I know that it is dangerous to play with the unknown, the idea beckons like a itch you can’t scratch.

Perhaps she would turn into a cat monster and kill me. And yet, it was strangely appealing to ignore the dangers and continue. The spirit of curiousity!

And here’s where the idiotic and funny part came in (My humor instinct kicking in, I suppose.)

Suddenly, an equation was revealed in my head in a pretty stupid comical way. It was like a chart drawn with kidde pictures. It showed the following

Séance + female = catwoman?
Séance + guy = kamen rider ryuki?!

With that, I woke up, feeling rather confused. Was it supposed to be a creepy dream or a funny dream?

Am I descending into madness?

Y'know.. I have friends who are police officers. I think they're doing a great job.. that is.... until today.. when I met not one, but three assholes who pulled me over because one of them said my number plate is not up to spec.... (fancy lettering)

I told him that it was new.. (it was, and i just had it made because the original fell off.)

He said that it was his duty to give me a ticket.. and he did.

During the time, I saw the other two let a car off who overtook in a no overtaking zone. (double line area), a guy who didn't wear a helmet, and a few other cars that had fancy numbers like I did!!!

I told him about it... but he said he didn't see it. I believe he pulled me over to fulfill his quota, and because I WAS A CHINESE!

Yes, people the world over... racism is indeed alive and well in malaysia, regardless of what the country may think...

I have totally lost my patriotic spirit... hence....

MALAYSIA "MANA" BOLEH!!!!

And f**k the three of you, malaysian coppers! You're all racist bastards. It's sad that you three actually represent the Malaysian police. You three are a sad example.

BTW, What is a policeman's duty.... ensure traffic safety? or give tickets and fulfill quotas... ? Was traffic safety even a priority in Malaysia?

And some policemen wonder why people treat them badly... haha.. funny of them to wonder.... IT's BECAUSE SOME OF YOU ARE ASSHOLES!!! GET IT?

30th January 2005

Still stuck with art. I borrowed my friends "how to draw manga book" and read it. The strange thing is... Ever since I read that book, I can't draw properly anymore. I keep making mistakes on everything, even stuff that I can draw freehand some time ago. This sucks.. but it could also be that I'm not feeling strongly about anything. I feel like a dead guy. 25th January 2005

Holidays over, time to work. I drew so much during the holidays that I killed the drawing mood. Can't draw anything I like for the life of me. Oops. (:P)

What the heck... maybe I'll draw something nicer once I have the mood.

20th January 2005

Ah... Four days holiday. I drew a bunch to kill time. Not bad. I never expected I'll draw this well anyway. But ever since I saw Range Murata's artwork, which my friend showed me (it was in the STARZ magazine, I think) I was hooked. Dang! His work is sweet.

5th January 2005

My japanese is getting better. I can actually guess what they're talking about in anime/j-drama/j-songs. Still a long way to go, tho. Learning kanji is horrible... so many characters... O_o

1st January 2005

Went out with a couple of friends. They drank thier brains out. Me? I'm chillin' since I don't drink. A bunch of guys singing karaoke when they're drunk is hilarious! School is starting tommorow so I just hanged around until 1 a.m. I would say being a teacher sucks but nah... it's okay. Has its perks and has its pitfalls.

25th December 2004

My friend is more finicky than a girl when choosing clothes O_o. We spent almost the entire day looking for his traditional chinese shirt, which we found, FINALLY! on the first floor corner shop in Berjaya Times Square. We missed on the first round up to the 9th! O_O floor!!! As for me, keeping up with the nerd image, I bought some RAM to replace the damaged ones, a power supply for my pc, the 450W model since the 300W just doesn't cut it with all the USB pheriperals I have. That was from Low Yatt plaza, the tech centre for PC stuff. We're still wearing those christmas hats tho' and that drew some attention.. haha... like we don't draw attention with those stupid poses we struck during shopping. I tell you, even though I jog occasionally... Times Square is just too big a shopping mall. I wish they allow us to use skateboard or something. ^_^.

24th December 2004

Spent the Christmas eve on the road with friends. When we reached KL, we're buying those Christmas hat and wearing them the whole day. We'd probably be looking stupid wearing those but what the heck, it's we're stupid-looking the rest of the year anyway ^_^. I'm typing this now in my pda, as we're stopping for refuelling. I tell you, mini-cars like the kancil are a pain on the highway... just not enough horsepower. Anyway, that's it for now, we're moving again.

23rd December 2004

Heading down to KL for shopping. Is it just me, or each time I leave my computer unattended in my room, something always manages to crash or die. this time it is the RAM.

19th December 2004

A not so light hearted moment.. as I had a heated arguement with a friend about relationship problems. And with that I reflected on what I have said. And in a way, it was strange because it's the truth. and sometimes the truth is something I'd rather not hear. People change, it's a fact of life. They change and evolve thier character based on thier interactions with other people. A honest person you know 6 months ago might be the same one who stabs your back. True, that's a negative point of view. My friend believed people won't once thier mindset is set on something, but I think that's not true. For me, I think that it's an interesting part of life. People's personalities do not stagnate, but rather continuously change according to thier experiences they accrue in their daily activities. In a romantic way, you can say that it keeps interaction with people interesting. In fact, reflecting that thought to myself, I can see how it works on myself. I change. Constantly. Although from my point of view, things do look stagnant. I feel the same, but when I look back, there are things that I'd do differently. But that's unchangable so I move forward... But I too cannot guarantee the final product of the evolution of my psyche, I do hope it's for the better though. (*note to self = Remember this!, you bum!)

8th December 2004

Unbelievable, I am actually free enough to do frequent updates on my site. Currently, I'm bored out of my blessed mind. Due to the free time that I have gained, I'm embarking on a journey to learn Japanese, up to thier kanji handwriting. It's not that difficult learning the characters but the grammar makes learning the english grammar rules like a walk in the park. :)

Due to the fact that I can't find anybody to speak japanese to, (and correct my errors) I'll have to instill some drastic measures, like running my windows in Japanese to speed up learning of new vocabulary.

7th December 2004

Finally, I'm doing the part that motivated me to update my site. I recently lost two years worth of worksheets and classroom activities I made. My hard drive crashed without warning. I bought a brand new 80GB one but come to think of it, My windows and various apps only take up like 6-8 GB at most. HOW ON EARTH do we use up 80GB?? So I'm essentially beginning anew for the year 2005. Looks like another busy year for me (X.x)

Remembered a conversation with my friend a couple of days ago. Talked about how I was disappointed of myself due to the fact that I haven't have anything to show in the past three years, like getting rich or something. Disappointing. :(

6th December 2004

I'm can't seem to draw anything I like. Blah.. Must take a break. TD05 GHA turbine for Mistubitshi Evolution 7 is titanium? Spending 6 digits of cash for a car. Dang I wish I could spend money freely like my friend. He speaks of 20K like it's 20 bucks... :P I don't envy him.. It's his luck and he worked hard for it. I just have tonnes of wasted opportunities. Well, maybe I was super evil in my previous life. Bad Karma and stuff.. :P.. HAH! I speak as if I believe the stuff.

I have to get ready to go to my best friend's wedding. He called me 5 times to insist. Ah.. another bachelor friend ending his bachelorhood. Ack.. At this rate, the next reunion would make me the oldest bachelor amongst the class. Hmm... I'm not THAT picky but I just find most girls I meet uninteresting. The only one I ever found interesting was already married. (X.x). Bleh! :P

5th December 2004

Holiday classes. If you thought that was boring for the students, they're BORING for the teachers too. Bwahahahaha. But it was good to get out of the house anyway. Too much time in front of the PC bores me. (X.x)

2nd December 2004

Just finished designing the new design in the early morning hours. Gotta go sleep but don't feel like it. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. Been quite a while since I touched html. So rusty that I had to use a WYSWYG editor to troubleshoot the tables but it saved more time. Obviously at this point, I have not uploaded this page up yet. School Holidays.. Too much free time in my hands. :P
