Arik Sinai was a very popular singer in the late 70's and in the 80's.Unfortunately, the 90's did not bring him much success, and nowadays, he's not considered a best seller artist anymore.This may be partly due to the fact that he started singing more rock, even hard rock, and also that� his voice, once great, became all raspy and not that pleasant (the album that he released in 1993 was really bad - at least that's my appreciation). In other words, the biggest problem was the musical orientation that he took. Before, he used to sing� mostly pop, and that was a good showcase for his talent. Here I present only one CD (which is among the very best Israeli records), but there is also a quite good greatest hits that was released on disc.

EVERGREENS 1 & 2. NMC. A great collection of Isareli standards, sang and arranged beautifully. Arik recoreded two volumes of standards, and here, they had the good idea to compile both albums on one single CD. Arik Sinai's voice is very deep and warm. Highly recommended!
