Vision of OCF
The vision of OCF, given to our forefathers since its inception, is two-fold:
1. The Present - to reach out to and build up overseas Christian students; and
2. The Future - to prepare and to send them back for home ministries

This is not a vision dreamed up by our forefathers. OCF's vision should not be mistaken as a vision of OCF; it is God's vision. "The vision of OCF is God's eternal purpose seen in a special group of people: overseas students in Australia."

Aims of OCF
A clear vision gives us direction in our ministry. But equally important is the setting up of aims to bring about the fulfillment of visions.

1. Evangelism - to instil a desire to reach out, to share the gospel with the lost and to have a heart for mission. (e.g. personal evangelism – lifestyle, family, flat mates, course mates.)

2. Teaching and training
(a) To instil a longing for God's Word and its application to life, and a desire to grow in spiritual maturity.
(b) To instil a desire to serve God through training and serving opportunities in OCF, especially in developing characters of spiritual leadership.
(c) To instil a desire to impart Christian experience to another so that others will be built up to spiritual maturity.

3. Mission
To instil a sense of mission as each returns to home country by providing teaching on practical issues, information, contact with reception centres and continuing support.

What we believe
OCF AS AN INTERDENOMINATIONAL CHRISTIAN ORGANISATION HOLDS ON TO THESE DOCTRINAL BELIEFS

1. The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Scripture, as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
2. The unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
3. The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since Adam's disobedience, rendering Man subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
4. The conception of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit and His birth of the virgin Mary.
5. Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin, only through the sacrificial death, as our representative and substitute, of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
6. The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
7. The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective in the individual sinner, granting him repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ.
8. The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
9. The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
