The New OC Mix 4 Review.  

You will find few familiar tracks on the albums.  It's definitel an album you'll have to liste to a few times, but once you do you'll love it as much as the show itself.  It's generally a very chilled album with a few exceptions.

The OC has already released 4 Mix Soundtrack from Various Artists that have featured on the show.  One of which was the christmaka soundtrack inspired by Seth's made up holiday.  The O.C. is known for making Indie music popular for many teens as much as it is known for making the geeky look and comic books cool.  It is also known to featured the biggest name in music and here are some of the artists who featured in the OC to date:

 

Bell X1

 

Bell X1 are from a band called Juniper. The modern band was formed in Kildare in Ireland, in 1994.

The band evolved in the year 1999. There are four members in Bell X1. They are; Paul Noonen, who is the lead vocalist, Brian Crosby who plays the keyboard, Dave Geraghty, who plays guitar and is a vocalist Dominic Philips who is a bassist.

Bell X1 are one of many artists featured on the OC Mix 4 Soundtrack. 

Death Cab For Cutie

The band Death Cab For Cutie got together in the year 1997.

The band is comprised of Ben Gibbard who sings and plays guitar, Christopher Walla who plays guitar and is an organist, Nick Harmer who is the bassist and Nathan Good who plays drums.

Nathan Good left the group and has been replaced by Michael Schorr.

In the year 2003 Jason McGerr joined the group.

Death Cab, for short, are Seth's favorite group in the show, though he missed their show a comic party.

 

Phantom Planet

The band Phantom Planet came together at a local Pizza Hut in the year 1994.

The band is comprised of Jacques Brauther who plays guitar, Sam Farrer who plays bass, Alex Greenwald who plays vocals/guitar, Darren Robinson and Jason Schwartzman who plays drums.

Jason Schwartzman starred in the films Rushmore(1998) and Slackers(2002).

Alex Greenwald moddled in GAP ad�s and he also acted as a sociopath in the black comedy Donnie Durko(2001).

Sam Farrer�s father is John Farrer who is a producer/songwriter. He wrote songs such as  �You�re The One That I Want� and �Hopelessly Devoted To You� for the musicle Grease (1978).

Phantom Planet appeared in �Sabrina the teenage witch� and �Get Real�.

Phantom Planet sing the theme song �California� for The O.C.�

The Killers

 

There are four members in The Killers. They are; Brandon Flowers who plays keyboard and he also sings vocals, David Keuning who plays guitar, Mark Stoermer  who plays bass and Ronnie Vanucci who plays drums.

The first song that Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning wrote was �Mr Brightside�.

Brandon and Dave met Ronnie when he was a photographer studying classical percussion at UNLV and then they met Mark who was making ends meat as a medical courier.

They enjoy writing songs about jealousy and paranoia, tales about murderers, stalkers and studio 54 AIDS victims, androgynous girlfriends and cuckolded boyfriends and songs of ambition and the desire to rise above the everyday.

The Killers performed most of the song from the album "hot fuss" during "the group hang" episode of the OC.

 

U2

 

U2 are known partially for their statements of politics and religion, but mostly because of their pop and heavy metal music.

The Irish group joined together in the year 1976.

The band is made up of four people, they are; Larry Mullen Jr (born October 31,1961)  who plays drums, The Edge (Born David Evans, August 8, 1961) who plays guitar, keyboard and he sings vocals, Adam Clayton (Born March 13,1960) who plays bass and last but certainly not least Bono (Born Paul Hewson, May 10,1960) who plays guitar and sings vocals.

U2 had their big break when they won a talent competition sponsored by Guinness. Their manager is Paul McGuinness. (he also manages The Stranglers).

U2's "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" (Released 2005) from the album "How to dismantle an atomic bomb" was a featured of the second season of the OC.
