And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:24-25)

The Fellowship

Who are we?

We are a group of students (from secondary school to postgraduate) studying in Oxford who enjoy meeting and sharing with each other. We welcome everyone, believers and non-believers alike, who want to find out more about Christ.

Our Vision

To enhance communication within the fellowship – with an emphasis on carrying out love among each other

To learn and live out God’s words within the fellowship

To preach the gospel to students of Chinese origin in Oxford

To prepare and equip fellowship members to be alert and aware of world affairs

History

The Oxford Chinese Christian Church Student Fellowship started as an English-speaking bible study group for Chinese nurses in 1971. After 7 years of regular Saturday meetings and the formation of the first committee, the Cantonese-speaking work began in 1978 with the introduction of Chinese Class and Sunday School. The then Oxford Chinese Christian Fellowship changed its name to Oxford Chinese Christian Church in 1986 and the student work has now come under the administrative structure of the church committee. There are currently 3 fellowships under the Chinese Church, namely the Student Fellowship, the Enoch Fellowship (for Cantonese-speaking adults) and the Mandarin Fellowship.
