History of Activities
1996-2001
- OCAY brought Otsego County the Skatepark. OCAY raised $15,000 from fundraising activities, individual donors, and area foundations and brought together Job Corps, City of Oneonta, Town of Oneonta, and area businesses in partnership to raise over $100,000 for construction of the skatepark in Neahwa Park.

Coffeehouses with local teen musicians , lobby for reinstitution of ski trips for junior high and high school; co-sponsor dances at the Oneonta Teen Center, East St., Autumn Cafe, Unitarian Universalist Society, propose and achieve lowered bus fares for youth; propose downtown information kiosk for area events, participate in Oneonta Youth Council, support youth and family agenda for elected council members and mayor, organize trips to contemporary music/rock/reggae concerts in the area.

- Halloweenfest 2004 DJ, Dance, and Music featuring area teen bands Oneonta, St James Episcopal Church.
(For concerts, coffeehouses, and battles, area youth musicians and bands provide entertainment for area teens and local businesses donate staff and space.)
2004
- SUMMERFEST 2004 event in Neahwa Park. 350 people- little kids to grandparents- and 250 teens. Skateboard competition and volleyball tournament. Four local youth music acts-many members of OCAY- and a band from Albany. Area businesses donated prizes from gift certificates, to skate boards, and sunglasses for prizes. All the music groups donated their time and talent. OCAY members made baked goods, and people bought lots of cheeseburgers, hotdogs, and sodas. Parents and other adult members of OCAY cooked all afternoon. All proceeds go toward the future creation of a Teen Cafe/Center and related youth programming in Oneonta.
- Autumn Cafe Concert- 5Bands- Parent-musicians of OCAY teen members and other adult supporters play to a full house for Teen Center Fundraiser May 2005 -$850 raised for furnishings.

- NYSCA Grant administered by UCCCA for Cafe OCAY to pay teen musicians and cover costs of Summerfest 2005
