Conduct Rules

For your safety, and to preserve Ocala HO Racing’s family atmosphere, please observe the following house rules:

1) No profanity.
2) No loud or obnoxious behavior.
3) No tobacco products of any kind.
4) No running.
5) No food or drinks at the driver’s panels.
6) No breaking in of motors.
7) No glue directly on tracks.
8) Do not use the drag strip or HO track as a pit table.
9) Please clean up your pit area.

Driver’s Conduct

There will be no profanity from the driver’s panel. Any driver using profanity, either out loud or under their breath, will be disqualified.

There will be no “trash talking” at the driver’s panel. Any driver “talking trash” about another racer, either out loud or under their breath, will be disqualified. If you have a disagreement with another racer, please take it outside.

There will be no yelling at the corner marshals. Any driver yelling at a corner marshal will be immediately assessed a five lap penalty.

In order for the drivers to concentrate we would ask that there be no talking during each heat.

Technical Inspection

Cars will be inspected with the bodies off. Once a car has been inspected it will be impounded and may not be worked on until the driver is “on deck” for qualifying. Cars may be inspected at anytime during the race. The first, second and third place cars will be inspected immediately after the race.

Qualifying

All drivers are asked to participate in marshalling during qualifying. In order for the drivers to concentrate we would ask the other racers and spectators to refrain from talking during each qualifying run.

Track Calls

Track calls will be made at the discretion of the Race Director. Any driver making a false track call will be assessed a five lap penalty. Only the following will be considered a track call:

1) Car off in the bank.
2) Car off in the driver’s panel straight.
3) Car on the floor.
4) Multiple car pile up.
5) Rider

If a corner marshal can, and is, getting to a car, then that is not a track call. Corner marshals will not be allowed to repair cars. As soon as a car is picked up it must either be put in the slot, or if it needs repair, given to the driver. The race will not be suspended while a car is repaired.

Impound

Cars will be impounded during the race. Cars may only be worked on between heats.

Marshalling

All drivers will participate in corner marshalling. Any driver who declines to corner marshal will be disqualified.

After Four Heats

When a racer has completed four heats they must report to the Race Director where their car stopped so it’s position can be recorded.
