Where to go when you're "out" in Dare County
Now that you have stumbled upon the site you know that there is family residing on the Outer Banks. So where is it that you would have a decent change to catch up with members of the community? Well, we don't yet have any place (YET!) that you can really consider a 'hangout.' This isn't to say the whole of the islands aren't friendly, but more that it is a conservative area.

The closest bars and clubs are in Virginia, found on the
Outer Banks page. The places I will mention are mostly through the grapevine, it is therefore hit-and-miss, and subject to change.

(Note: check the Forum for gatherings!)

If you have a place to add, or a review of an establishment as far as tolerance/acceptance/ friendliness,
email me or post it in the discussion board.

Let me just say though, that in order for there to
be a space for us, there has to be an US first. Gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, transsexual, questioning, allies- all are welcome. I KNOW you are out there, Spread the Word! let's get something going so there will be places that we can call our own.
