Suicide 01/95
He calls you with a gun to his head Calling to say goodbye Don't try to stop him, it won't do any good You just sit and cry He says he knows you'll miss him and he's sorry for the pain It's just something he must do He says over time your heart will heal And to remember, he loves you When he shoots, you fall You can't quite comprehend When he said goodbye this time It really was the end
Suicide, part II 01/96
A darkened night inside a storm a bitter man did stay The thoughts and sounds inside his head were leading him astray Smiles that once had brightened his face had left him far behind Dark clouds filled his sky where once the sun had shined He stared at the bridge, lit by the moon, where many a person had stood He pondered the thought for a moment, wondering if he could A mask he wore for many years to hide his burden of pain Covering his conscience, his sadness, his shame The rain poured down upon his head, blending with his tears He slowly crept towards the edge, the end coming near This was selfish pain, he realized, but he couldnt help but feel The illusion he'd created was quickly becoming real No friends to feed his ego or question his self-pity Just an awful decision, one last cigarette and a beautiful view of the city One more look at the world around him, then he jumped without a sound Gone in a second, he died as he lived, without ever touching the ground
Pining 06/04
All of you that broke my heart, I call out to you tonight All of you who pushed me, all of you that held me tight All of those that I called friends, where are you now All of those that I let in left quietly somehow
I Don't Miss You
You changed the furniture around again and found a new religion Every week you make and break a life changing decision Every morning I try to leave you, but you just won't let me My other lover says I can do it this time, but he's not willing to bet me Your t-shirts wrapped around your thumb, and you're looking kinda nervous You light a cigarette and say you'd never hurt me on purpose Your friends shake their heads behind your back, say you get worse every year You say you think we should change towns, but I think I'll stay here I got out without saying a word You said some of the worst things I have ever heard I let the machine pick up when you call Funny how I don't miss you at all Feng shui and heroin, asking me where I've been Picking up and leaving town, punk rock and going down It's all bullshit and you know it Fur coats, androgyny, next door infidelity Fairness here is relative, surprisingly insensitive Though you don't always show it I got out without saying a word You said some of the worst things that I had ever heard I let the machine pick up when you call Funny how I don't miss you at all
