History

Tasman Farms was created from the liquidated Tasman Agriculture.

When Tasman Agriculture sold all of its New Zealand farms, it's 
balance sheet comprised largely cash and a decision was made to 
liquidate the company and return the cash to shareholders. This 
left Tasman Agriculture's Australian assets which were held by  
Leander Holdings, shares were issued in Leander Holdings to     
Tasman Agriculture shareholders on a one for one basis on 14th  
November 2001 - these shares were immediately tradable on the   
unlisted board of the NZSE, having been renamed to Tasman Farms 
Ltd.                                                            

Tasman Farms also owns a number of Dairy farms in Tasmania, with
approximately 13,000 cows. In addition Tasman Farms also runs an
extensive sheep and beef grazing operation through its          
investment in The Van Diemen's Land Company - established in the
1860's by Royal Charter of King George IV.                      

Tasman Farms' dairy operations having been working with A2      
Corporation in regards to their A2 Milk protein venture.
