Volvo trucks started to make a big impact in New Zealand in the
mid-1970s. In 1978 Volvo agents Dalhoof & King landed two
significant orders. One was for Volvo B58 tour and service coaches for
Newmans. The other was to supply 68 trolley buses for Wellington City
Transport. From then on Volvo have had a significant share of the New
Zealand coach market and have sold a small but steady number of buses.
In 1981 the B10M replaced the B58 bus chassis. This page includes the Ansaldo trolley buses on Volov B10M chassis
