What is Speed Dating?

Q: What is Speed Dating?
A: Speed dating is when you go to a specified venue and have a 5 minute date with 20 different people in one fun evening. Sit down at a table and meet the new person and chat for 5 minutes. At the end of 5 minutes, a bell will sound and you will have 1 minute to move to the next person.

Q: Why Speed Date?
A: Speed dating gives you the opportunity to meet people from surrounding communities in your own age group that you might not have had a chance to meet otherwise.

Q: Do a lot of people do this sort of thing?
A: Absolutely. Speed dating is a growing trend not only in the United States but also in Canada, the UK, Australia and many other countries around the world!

Q: Will everyone have my personal information like my phone number?
A: No. Your personal information is not shared with anyone unless a match is made. Everyone uses an alias first name during events.

Q: How is a match made?
A: When you come to the event, you will be given a "date card". After meeting someone, if you liked them and would like to see them again, you write his or her number on your card. At the evening's end, you can leave your date card with us. If the same person you put on your card has put you on his or her card, a match is made and telephone and email information is exchanged online or by mail.

Q: What else do I get?
A: Beverages and a variety of hors d'eouvres will be served.

Q: How hard is it to sign up?
A: Signing up is easy. Simply give us your name, address, telephone number and email and we will do the rest. Just contact us.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: Depending on the size of the group, one event costs between $25 and $35.
