I let you know how I started this site. 1. In the beginning of 1999 I finished the first version of Annie's Fascinating World. I took backgrounds from different artists and remembered to give them credit which is according to good manners. I already had ordered Photo Suite II from www.mgisoft.com and started to "play" with photos. It surely is amusing. Somehow I stopped by www.jasc.com and took the trial version of Paint Shop Pro 6 for 30 days. I really found it by far the best. At that time it was impossible to buy it from Finland and to order it by mail should have become too expensive. I was lucky because my huspand was planning to visit Florida. That's the way I got my own PSP6. I also "ordered" him to bring me maybe one of the best books concerning this program. It's from Ramona & Joshua Bruitt: Paint Shop Pro 6/Visual Insight. It was time to create my backgrounds. I visited many sites offering tutorials for different styles. I learned a lot of HTML, some JAVAs, image maps etc. etc. There are wonderful sites to find information. If there was something I couldn't understand I e-mailed and asked and got kind answers. But this take time. I wish that I could have more of it! After getting PSP6 I have replaced all the backgrounds with my own designs. I'm so interested to create what so ever that I started my own design section which is free for everyone. Just give me credit by placing my logo at the same page you use my background. I have also decided to change the look of the whole design section in the near future. Come back to see what has happened! Yes, yes, I know these are quite boring facts but more interesting information is coming... 2. So I have made some conclusions about visitors behavior. All of my thoughts are based on my several counters. Even I haven't a counter on each page through guest book comments I have noticed that every page has been visited. My hard work hasn't been a waste of time. No matter how many visitors I have in one day but I think that about half of them continue further after the entry. I can also be wrong because every page hasn't a counter but absolutely my sex advice page has been visited by most of the visitors. Many people have been embarrassed about my straight way to describe things but as many have thanked me for saying things as they are. It's also amazing that on the second place is my photo gallery. So visitors want to see how the creator looks like more than reading about me on my profile page even this page has been visited very often too. It's obvious that men are interested in different things than women. Women like to read more often my advice page How to manage with a baby/teenager. If visitors are interested in travelling they go to my large travel site where I introduce countries I have been and also give straight comments about them. There are also very important things to know before leaving. I have to say that it has been a very big surprise that this page and the page where I have collected touching quotes have been among the favourites as well my own thoughts. So people are interested in facts! Maybe the reason for this is that people behave themselves the same way in every site, I think. There is one THING I want to blame on the visitors and I think that every site creator feels the same. How difficult it is to sign the guest book!!! There are thousands of visitors but about 5 % of them will sign. It's not a purpose to write a novel but I know how it warms my heart when someone has written something. So many thanks for those lovely visitors who have had time say opinions (either good or bad) of my site. 3. It's obvious that we people are different and we can visit sites we are interested in but there are some unwritten regulations what we call the netiquette. One thing that makes me feel angry is that guest book signers just leave their card or the phrase what they copy in every signature. So there is nothing personal. I like that the visitors leave their card but if they have nothing to say about the site it's better not to leave the card either. Maybe they haven't visited a page but find the guest book to advertise their site. I have visited thousands of sites and leave my message BUT maybe half of them will come to me. Thanks for them! I promise to visit every site where I will be invited. If I'm not able sign the guest book I'll send an e-mail. It's also very polite if you have got good help in your problems or have learned good tutorials or got nice PSP tubes or other graphics from somebody that you give credit for them somehow. Last but not the least, time after time it's better to change something in your site. I get bored to same graphics, so I change them quite often or maybe I change the whole page to look different, add new pages or change the content. This is one of my favourite hobbies so I'm always creating something. There must be action in your site otherwise if someone has bookmarked your site and come back to notice that nothing has happened, that can be the last visit. If you got here some advices or just have fun when reading the facts, that was my idea when creating this "boring" page.
