DLC Ministires was formed in 1990 when Darwin recieved a call from the Lord - "Share your testimony and the things I have done in your life." Hearing this in prayer Darwin was then compelled to step out and share what the Lord had done in his life. From building relations as a feed salesman in Central Iowa doors began to open in area churches for Darwin to share about the Healing Hand of God in his life.
Confined to a wheelchair, being legally blind due to the complications of diabetes in his early 20's and told by doctors that he had little hope of seeing or walking again, there was a voice prompting him to have faith and that the Lord had a plan for his life. After surgeries and much prayer Darwin can see and walk today.
Also by using music to share the Gospel, Darwin has recorded 3 cassettes ("One of The Flock", "He Shed His Blood", and "Thy Kingdom Come") and in 2006 released 2 new CDs ("Hymns For Him" and "Christmas Holiday Praise") that have blessed and continue to bless many people from many different walks of life.
Through the years Darwin has served as Interim Pastor, Senior Pastor, Chaplin for nursing home and rescue mission, and as an Itinerant Evangelist. After 15+ years of ministry Darwin and his wife Karen have served or ministered in over 22 different denominations sharing the Gospel through testimony, word and song.
DLC Ministries is a "Direct Line to Christ" , a voice to a hurting and suffering world. A ministry that works alongside churches and one that continues in sharing that there is One who cares and loves. With the cross above the DLC it is a reminder to us that upon the cross was paid our debt of sin and we were shown the greatest love by Jesus Christ our Lord. |
