Hello,
my name is Bob. I'm 40-something years old and reside in Pennsylvania.
I've been collecting baseball cards and memorabilia for 30+ years. I'm primarily a set collector, focusing on Topps sets and N.Y. Yankees team sets. Most of my card trading and
discussion takes place on "THE
BENCH" sportscard forums. Check them out! It's a great
group of serious card traders.
Generally, I'm NOT a real big "player collector", but occasionally
collect Derek Jeter, Don Mattingly, Reggie Jackson and Chase Utley
(Phillies). Topps is my
favorite card company and I try to limit my collection to Topps products exclusively.
Along
with baseball cards, I also collect a some football (Dolphins and Eagles)
and NASCAR (Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin) items.
I'm not really
into collecting Game-Used (GU'd) cards, but will pick up a few Hall
of Famer and NY Yankees GU'd now-and-then. The current
card market is absolutely FLOODED with "game-used"
jersey and bat
cards that can be had on eBay for next to nothing. Chrome cards?...,
now where did that crazy idea ever originate? Hmm, too shiny for me,
but my kids seem to like them, especially the refractors. If you
want to unload some "shiny cards", my kids would love them. ;)
Oh,
yeah! I
almost forgot...did you ever hear of a "ROAD WARRIOR"? Well,
that's me! I've been a FedEx EXPRESS courier for the past 19+
years. So, if
there are any fellow FedEx'ers out there, drop me an e-mail. I've
received a FedEx "safe driver" award for 19 consecutive years. From 1994 to present, I have averaged 50,000 miles a year covering Lake
Wallenpaupack and Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania.
As of today, I have
successfully completed trades on THE BENCH. Click on the banner below and join in the fun of sports card trading.
The

This is
one of my all-time favorite cards. I once met Mr. Murtaugh when he was
the manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the early 1970's. He
signed a baseball for me and it was one of the biggest thrills.
I'm a long-time N.Y. Yankees fan, but also keep tabs on the Pittsburgh Pirates.

My wonderful wife Amy and I have been happily married since 1989. Amy is a FULL-time, Stay-At-Home-Mom!
We have five wonderful kids, which includes a set of twin boys. So, as you can imagine, there's never a dull moment around the "Torba Tribe" household.
One of our favorite Bible verses is:
"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it."
--Proverbs 22:6
Looking for a great family-friendly movie? One of my all-time favorite movies is "Facing the Giants".

Most Sunday afternoons you'll find me glued to the
TV set watching NASCAR racing from mid-February through November.
