Position Description: Project Director 

The New York Disaster Recovery Interfaith Task Force (NYDRI) is seeking a qualified individual to develop and implement the Spiritual Care Program for Caregivers in New York City project under the direction of NYDRI leadership and in accordance with its mission. That person will be primarily responsible for completing a proposal to the September 11^th fund to launch a pilot project for bringing training and spiritual care to religious leaders of New York City.

Education/Experience 

• Minimum requirement for Academic Credentialing: a  Master’s degree or equivalent in areas related to the position such as counseling, spiritual direction, psychology, sociology or theology
• Must be sensitive to the pluralistic nature of interfaith work and relations.
• Must be an active participant in his/her faith community.

 Skills 

• Proven skills in management and administration
• Familiarity with strategic planning
• Ability to relate to diverse agencies and service providers
• Experience in proposal writing
• Able to work with minimum staff

Salary: Based upon credentials and experience

Term of Service:  Full time for one year, may be renewed

Starting Date:  November 1, 2002, negotiable
