| NYDCA Rules Effective for the 2004 racing season NYDCA have voted on and accepted TUSA 2003 rules with an added NYDCA appendix which have the following exceptions 1) Classic cars will run hoosier TUSA or UDRA rated tires and will be allowed unlimited durometer. Modified bodies will maintain TUSA or UDRA rated tires to 45 durometer. 2) Quick change rear ends will not be allowed for regular Merrittville Speedway points nights. 3) Maximum cylinder cranking will be 220 psi on any one cylinder.No averaging will be allowed. 4) Radios � One way radios (*Scanner) are mandatory ! It was a difficult decision and only time will tell whether it was the correct one. | I can give you a brief description of our dwarf cars/Mod-lites. Our Weight is 1240lbs minimum, most of the guys are running between 1100-1200cc motors varying from all different manufacturers. Most guys run the Suzuki gsxr1100 motor, it seems to be the most popular. But some run the suzuki 1200 bandit, kawasaki 1100, or what i have is the Kawasaki ZX12R with 1200 cc's. We are allowed up to 1250cc's with a maximum compression of 220 in any one cylinder. Most of us run Hoosier tires which have to durometer (tires Hardness) at 45 or higher. These are manual transmissions, with different drivers deciding whether or not to have a hand clutch or a foot clutch. We usually turn around 11000 rpm down the straightaways. Justin Sharp |
