The brothers of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. asked their sweethearts at Cheyney if they were interested in being part of a sister organization. This organization was Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship, Incorporated. The word soon got out that there would be a meeting in Tubman Hall (a female dormitory at Cheyney) at midnight...

There were fifty women on the charter line, but only seventeen of them completed the journey, thus founding the 'Chic Wolverine' chapter on April 21, 1973.
