| Description: | The Quinta has been farmed on until 2003 when the owner and his wife died. The Quinta is formed of several terraces zoomed by grapevines. Also you will find many different fruit trees. Most appealing is the marvelous view the Quinta offers over the Douro valley. A building permit to recover the ruin should be no problem. As the ruin is situated on the south top of a small valley you are assured of a lot of sunlight. Electricity passes the Quinta and can be hooked up any time you want. The Quinta possesses water-right for 3 day's a week. But the region is rich on water and drilling a waterhole is an option. The Quinta is positioned about 1 hour to the top of the Serra de Estrella ( 2000 mtr ) with it's winter sport resort and about 1,5 hour from Figueira da Foz, called the Monaco of Portugal with it's great beaches. Especially in February and march a ski tour in the morning and a swim in the ocean in the afternoon are not impossible. |
