Chapter 6
Unexpected Guests
“It’s you!” Jeeya widened his eyes. “How dare you show yourself in this town again?” He said angrily, looking up at the figure.
“Calm down old man, I came here to pay you all a little visit.” The young man said still standing on top of the lamppost. “And guess what, I brought you all a little present.” With a snap of his fingers, ten or fifteen people dressed in black appeared out of nowhere. “Hahaha…! Oh, I forgot to tell you. I was lucky enough to run into these kind Night Stalkers that night when I left and they gratefully accepted me into their big family.”
“You!” Jeeya shouted as if he was going to have a heart attack. “Everyone inside now! I’ll hold them off!”
“No, we’re going to help. I mean, what’s the point of having these weapons if we’re not going to use them.” Catherine said bravely.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Bobby asked her unsurely. “You know, we aren’t really trained to use them. AH!” A Night Stalker swung sword at Bobby’s head and he barely dodged it.
Two of the Night Stalkers were chasing after Lora, both with clubs in their hands. “Stop chasing me! I don’t like to run and I’m running out of breath! That’s it!” Lora twirled around just in time to block the two clubs with her rod. “Ah…so heavy.”
“Stop children! This is too dangerous! Go to someplace safe and I’ll hold them off for now!” Jeeya yelled at the five friends. “Smother Gas!” Purple smoke started to seek out the old man’s shirtsleeves.
“Run! That’s poisonous!” One of the Night Stalkers shouted.
“Let me handle this.” Another one said. “Typhoon of Chaos!” The smoke was slowly blown away and the fight continued.
“This is not good.” Michelle said, dodging a few more kicks from the enemies. “You’re getting on my nerves.” Michelle gave a quick jab at the two Night Stalkers and they were frozen solid. “Whoa, strange!”
“What did you do to them?” Bobby asked, still running away from the sword-carrying stalker. “Don’t these people ever get tired of running?”
“You know, ever since we’ve been here I’ve been wondering why I have a flute instead of a weapon!” Tina shouted to the others. “Does this mean I’m totally useless and cannot fight at all?”
“How should we know?!” Lora shouted back as she tried to whack the stalkers with her rod.
“Ah…help!” Tina yelled. She put the flute to her mouth and blew the highest note she can reach. The sound that came out though was totally unexpected. It was a much higher pitch than it was supposed to be.
“OW! MY EAR HURTS!” Bobby shouted over the high pitch note.
“STOP! STOP!” Catherine yelled at Tina.
The screeching sound stopped. “Did someone say something?” Tina looked around. The Night Stalkers had all retreated and everyone was covering their ears in pain. “Is everyone alright?”
“What do you think?!” Michelle screamed.
“Wow did I do that?” Tina asked amazed and proud at the same time.
“Yea good job, you almost made us all deaf.” Bobby, said shaking his head to see if it would help.
“Oh no! Jeeya is dead!” Catherine pointed over to the old man lying on the ground.
Bobby punched her on the head. “He’s not dead! He just fainted from that noise Tina was making.
“Hey it wasn’t my fault! I was in a desperate situation.” Tina argued.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” Lora said. “Come here and help me carry him inside.”
