“What happened to you?” The little boy that they saw earlier asked Mandy. Mandy is still resting from the encounter with the Shadow Elementor Aksis.
“What does it look like?” Mandy asked back.
“It looked like you’ve just been half killed by a monster.” The kid answered her.
“You’re not supposed to answer that.” Mandy sighed.
“Hold on I’ll help you go find a doctor.” The kid started to walk away.
“No need. My friend already went to that village over there to find a doctor.” Mandy stopped the boy. “Why don’t you stay here and keep me company?” The boy nodded and sat down beside Mandy.
“Sorry for being rood before in the forest, but I was trying to find my way out of there for three days already. There was no more of the food that I brought with me before I went in there. I was getting frustrated. If I didn’t find my way out soon, I would’ve died in there.” The kid explained.
“Well you could’ve told us and we would’ve helped you find the exit.” Mandy told him.
“Well, you two didn’t seem like you knew the way either.” The boy replied. They both laughed.
“My name’s Mandy and my friend is Alice. How about yours?” Mandy requested.
“I’m Shikuro.” The boy answered. “May I ask why you two are wandering in the forest all alone?”
“Well to tell you the truth, we don’t really know ourselves.” Mandy laughed. “All I can remember was visiting a big building and something happened like the floor just disappeared. My friends and I fell and Alice and me found ourselves in the forest.”
“That is strange… If I don’t know you better I wouldn’t have believed you.” Shikuro said.
“You do know we just met right?” Mandy reminded him.
“Oh… yeah.” Shikuro blushed.
“Hmm…” Mandy gave a weird look at the boy and looked back at the road leading down to the town. “Look! Alice is back. And it seems like she found some doctors.”
Alice and three other men ran towards Mandy and Shikuro. The three men went to get the stretcher right away while Alice went straight to Mandy.
“What’s that brat doing here?!” Alice asked angrily.
“Calm down Alice it’s okay.” Mandy said.
The three men carefully lifted Mandy up and onto the stretcher and quickly carried her away. Alice gave another glare at Shikuro and followed them down to the town. Shikuro was following them and looked really concerned.
“Why are you following us?!” Alice snarled at him.
“For your information, I just so happen to live in this town!” Shikuro answered her coldly. “And if it’s okay with you I’m going to make a turn right here!” He stuck out his tongue and made a face.
“Do whatever ever you like! It’s not like it’s any of my business!” Alice shouted after him as she stomped away with steam rising from her head.
Shikuro quickly walked into a small alleyway and looked back out at them. He gave a sigh and walked away.
They finally carried Mandy back to their clinic and laid her on a bed. A doctor quickly came into the room and shoved everyone outside. Alice walked around in circles wondering what the doctor is doing with Mandy inside the room. Then she heard a sudden scream. Alice rushed into the locked room and saw Mandy on the bed unconscious.
“What did you do to her?!” Alice shouted, strangling the defenseless doctor.
“C…C…Calm down!” The doctor said forcing Alice’s hands off of his neck. “I just gave her a needle! I did know she’d have such a big reaction.”
“I see…” Alice replied with a sweat drop on her head. “Well have a good day!” Alice said pushing the doctor out of the room.
“Remember to tell her to take her medicine!” The doctor said as the door slammed shut in his face.
Alice walked over to Mandy. “Hope you get
well soon. We need to find the
others a fast as we can.”
