Ahh yes; my dear friend Gandar.. alas his handwriting was to sloppy for such a job.. he personally asked me to do this chapter of the book. I jest I jest. However I felt Gandars guide a little bit ;exaggerating and I cannot have this chapter exaggerated for that would be disasterous. Sarith is infact a dangerous place nowadays. In order to know why we must first go back to the history of Sarith.

800 YOD war of farewells begin; A war rumored to have been started by the god of strife Mortash.

In an attempt to control the sacred relic of power, he started the war by spreading rumors to both sides

Eventually war breaks out over Dooms Crevice. Thousands die in the first day, not including military casualties. Eventually not even the most well guarded homes are safe. Kings and lords are driven out of there land head east toward what is now known as Sarith.

This is why Dooms Crevice is a barren wasteland. This is why Sarith is a bustling city. Soon after the migration, the fearful leaders spent all there money to build up armies and to support them. When word reached the realm, people quickly flooded to Sarith. For it was the most heavily defended area in all the region. With so many people in Sarith , and so strong a defense. Sarith was a prime political region because of its qualities.

After the war of farewells ended when naura goddess nature took Dooms Crevices last general, The council of the forgotten relics was formed. This council was formed from the strongest ArchMagi in the land. It was intended to keep evil hands from touching the sacred again. However the Archmagi became corrupted by the relics power. Eventually one of them attempted to seize the relic. In order to prevent this from happening ever again, the relic was taken away to prevent such an atrocity to happen. However the archimagi were banished into an area unknown.

As you know Sarith is the "capital of the realms" as such the defenses are very high. The defenses alone are enough to raise war. However, recently the council of the forgotten relics has rumored to emerge again. It is rumored that it is because of them. That Sarith has become so heavily fortified. Now you must take the road around Sarith for it is closed to all foreigners. No one knows for sure why it is closed except for those High up. Rumor has it though that the council has deemed the relic actively sought by someone. Though there is no basis to this rumor.

Who is seeking it is not known. However it has been rumored that the god of strifes reincarnation has been borne here on HighGuard in a small hamlet. Though he is but a child now. The council has deemed him dangerous. Or so they think.

However, I believe if the child never regains his past memory he should be given a chance to live upon society… Therefore I name my son Maldor TreeBrook the heir to all my things. Yes… this spawn of chaos is indeed son. The gods have told me to rid of him but alas; I cannot. No one knows this yet and I suppose I will let this part out in the final book.

Ahem let us continue. Sarith is now known as the fortress city. No one knows what has happened there. Outside it looks peaceful. However, it seems it's government is in peril. Even now revolts occur often in the city. The mages are having a hard time controlling it. Something somewhere has slipped. I now believe Sarith is on the brink of war against the orc tribes that live in the Dooms Crevice.

Now we approach the end of this rather short chapter. I hope in this chapter that you have learned a bit about the history of Sarith.

In chapter 3 Gandar will be going over the history of HighGuard ranging from the relics to its creation. Farewell for now~!
