PW Zeus II Move Suggestions Board

The Planet Wrestling Zeus II Board is designed exclusively for suggestions for moves to appear in matches that are simulated by Co-President Rob's ever-expanding Zeus II match-simulating program (more detail on this below). Before posting anything on this board, please make note of all of the following information:

Please note that this is not the place for:

Anything pertaining to those four categories appearing on this board will be deleted. That also goes for any pictures appearing on this, or any of the above mention pages, unless you have the explicit permission of the Presidents to post a particular image.

Furthermore, any material appearing on these boards that might be deemed pornographic, overly racist, overly sexist, or otherwise innapropriate in nature will be deleted (this included any links or URLs that are mentioned or presented). Keep it down on the swearing, too. If you have any questions about whether or not something will be deleted or not, then chances are that it shouldn't be appearing here. Use you own judgement, please.

If anyone comes across messages that they feel are innapropriate in nature, please report this to the Presidents, indicating which message is in question. Note that the staff of Planet Wrestling reserves the right to delete any message at any time, without notice.

Now that you've read through all that, let's talk about the Zeus II Board itself. Messages posted on this board should fall into one of these categories:

... ZEUS II MOVE- WRITING TUTORIAL ...

For the writing of specific moves, as mentioned above in the third option, you would have to follow a number of "rules", as the Zeus II program is not without its limitations and also uses a few progamming codes in move-writing that mean certain things. But don't worry: it's all pretty easy and straightforward. Let's start first, with the codes (example of the codes' use is provided below):

CODES

I know that may seem like a lot to digest right away, but the primary codes you'll be using are the attacker (#ATT#) and recipient (#REC#) codes- the others aren't nearly as important...

But now that we've looked at the codes, I'm going to provide a long example of a "move" that encorporates all of them, and show you what it would look like once simulated. Let's say that in this example, that we were seeing a a match between Airborn and eXtreme, with Adam Kent as the referee and the David Deyo/ Rick Richards commentary team announcing the match:

-MOVE-
Here comes #ATT#. He hauls #REC# in... scoops him up- DRILLS him down with a massive piledriver! #ANN# WOW, #COM#! Did you SEE the way #REC#'s head bounced off the mat? He may be looking at a serious spinal injury! #ATT# going for the cover! #REF# counts it: 1... 2... NO! #REC# kicked out of it!

-HOW IT WOULD APPEAR ONCE SIMULATED-
Dave - Here comes eXtreme. He hauls Airborn in... scoops him up- DRILLS him down with a massive piledriver!

Rick - WOW, Dave! Did you SEE the way Airborn's head bounced off the mat? He may be looking at a serious spinal injury! eXtreme going for the cover! Adam Kent counts it: 1... 2... NO! Airborn kicked out of it!

OTHER LIMITATIONS

... MORE ADVANCED STUFF ...

CLASSES OF CHARACTERS AND THE "ATTACKER" AS PRIMARY CHARACTER

As I'd mentionned before, the #ATT# code not only represents the "Attacker": it represents the primary character in the "move". This is especially important because of the wrestling classes or styles that are involved. These classes include:

Since the Zeus II program only considers the class/ fighting style of the #ATT# coded "Attacker" involved in the hold (and NOT the #REC# coded "Recipient"), then this means that the "Attacker" is the only one involved in the move who is able to have their fighting style reflected in the move. It's a bit complicated, but this example should help clarify things:

-MOVE-
#REC# has #ATT#- whips him to the ropes! #REC# with a back body drop- but #ATT# landed on his feet!! #REC# turns- standing sidekick from #ATT#- but #REC# caught it! #REC# hauls him in and CLOBBERS #ATT# with a clothesline! #REC# saw that standard Martial Arts kick coming from a mile away!

(Move done by Martial Artist)

-HOW IT WOULD APPEAR ONCE SIMULATED-
Rick - Bombinator  has NinjaGuy- whips him to the ropes! Bombinator  with a back body drop- but NinjaGuy landed on his feet!! Bombinator turns- standing sidekick from NinjaGuy- but Bombinator caught it! Bombinator hauls him in and CLOBBERS NinjaGuy with a clothesline! Bombinator saw that standard Martial Arts kick coming from a mile away!

Here we see that the "Attacker" need not be the actual attacker, but that he is the primary character in the move. What happens is that while the "Attacker" is actually the one who gets hit with the clothesline in the end, we're still able to qualify him as a Martial Artist. Note that this CANNOT be done for the "Recipient" of the move, so this is just getting around that fact.

... more notes to come at a later date ...
