As a full-service veterinary hospital, Northwest has three veterinarians on staff--each with different personalities, skills, and expertise. With in-house consultations and second opinions readily available, we can offer you both convenience and more affordable care.

Dr. Tim Kolb

Dr. Tim Kolb is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been in private practice since 1982, and has a special interest in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Kolb currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, and is an active volunteer in both his community and his profession.

”What I value most are the relationships I have with my clients and their pets.  My hope is for people to have healthy relationships with their pets and to experience the unconditional love and caring that pets can teach us.”

Dr. Nicole Hird

Dr. Nicole Hird is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been in practice since 1973. Dr. Hird is a Specialist in Feline Practice and a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

”More than 25 years after receiving my V.M.D., I can't imagine a more rewarding life's work. I made my decision as a nine-year-old, because the dog I loved was dying. Knowing the loss, I find joy in the ever-increasing ways in which veterinarians can help pets and owners. Each year brings a deeper regard for the human-animal connection, one of life's true blessings.”

Dr. Karen Diehl

Dr. Karen Diehl graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She joined our practice as an associate veterinarian in 2000. Dr. Diehl has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation.

”The greatest part of veterinary medicine for me is being able to help pets live happy and healthy lives. It is most rewarding for me to be able to improve the quality of life for an animal, and at the same time enhance the relationship between that animal and their human family.”
