From
Youth basketball coach, to CYO (Church Youth Organization) assistant,
to community coach in a local high school, I have been a part of
basketball coaching since the age of 19. From 1993 to 1998, I assisted
Hobart High School's boys' basketball program. More recently, I
completed my second season as Men's Assistant Basketball Coach at
Indiana University Northwest. This summer will mark my second year
as head coach of the Northwest Wizards 16/U AAU Girls' Basketball
Club. I have an endless passion for the game of basketball and teaching.
I am constantly learning. My mentor once called me a sponge- always
absorbing knowledge of the game. I hope to spread my enthusiasm
to all of my players and their families, as each of them has dreams
of pursuing a college basketball career. My #1 goal is to help prepare
them as individuals for that opportunity, as well as their last
year or years in high school athletics.

| Since
my days as a Youth basketball player, I have had an ever-growing love
for the game of basketball. I am a senior at Portage High School,
2-sport varsity letterman, and Academic All-State selection. I have
partaken in highly successful football and basketball programs here
at Portage High School, digesting various coaching philosophies and
techniques, and devoloping a strong desire to become a successful
coach. This AAU season is my second as Assistant Coach with the Northwest
Wizards, and I strive to help guide and condition both mentally and
physically the girls of the Northwest Wizards. |
