Here you will find photos of Personalities and Sporting Events
that have defined my taste in Sports
And my brother Vince, the second greatest wiffle ball player in
the Family !
|
|
Andy Jerpe, 14, of Pittsburgh retrieved the ball and brought it to the Pirates' locker room to present it to Mazeroski.
Mazeroski autographed it and returned it to the boy, saying: "You keep it, son. The memory is good enough for me."
"Maz was known for that home run and his ability to
turn the double play,
most people would say I was a better second baseman."

ABBOTT AND COSTELLO'S
WHO'S ON FIRST
"If I could start my life all over again, I would be a
professional football player, and you
damn well better believe I would be a
Pittsburgh Steeler."
|
Jack
Lambert , 1990 HoF Induction |
"He had no teeth, and he was slobbering all over himself. I'm
thinking, 'You can have your money back.
Just get me out of here. Let me
go be an accountant.’ I can’t tell you how badly I wanted out of there.”
Denver QB John Elway, commenting on his first play in the NFL,
when he looked
across the line and saw Jack Lambert
